I'm not using it as a false disqualifying factor. I'm not saying ignore other factors. What I'm saying is that the red cups are 7x more likely to have a golf ball under them, and that is a pretty hefty statistical probability, and shouldn't be ignored.
So you're not understanding it. I can't think of a more layman's terms way to explain it than above, so I'll just move on.

Ok. I'm good with this...

It's Hard to See Racism When you are White
Minn town gets billboard ad from NAACP that tries to teach them about "white privilege". The thing is racist as hell. Societal double standards.

I'm surprised that was even able to be put up, there is no "white privilege" anymore, in some places companies actually have to hire a certain amount of non-white employees, even if they are less qualified than white employees applying for the same position. The billboard says "Its hard to see racism when you're white," That statement in itself is making a racial stereotype about white people, If they wanted to raise awareness about racism they could went along the lines of "We're all human, no matter the colour of our skin."

earlier, it's worth a watch. If you don't want to watch it, then consider the fact that a disproportionate amount of bailout funds went to white businesses, putting Obama's administration at the lowest % of federal money spent on blacks in recent memory (according to Tim Wise, anyway).

gamer- The government isn't fair to everyone of every race. I get that. But, that's all beside the point.
Look at the billboard. Why is it that white people can't see racism? Is that because they are not the targets of racism? Is it because only minorities feel racism? Is that because only white people are racist?
There are so many questions there. I despise this, because I am as white as they come, and I have been the targets of racism. I have never been racist toward anyone, but I have gotten it. And now, I'm being lumped together with my race, and told that I just don't understand. Well, the NAACP can take that billboard and shove it up their ass.

Which places?

Really, why when someone asks for information that is easily obtainable anywhere else in this website, they are scorned for not searching, but here, if you do not provide a link, you are almost always called out for it?

I'm Canadian, I don't see how that applies to me. My point was, people who are not white have nothing stopping them from getting the same jobs, going to the same schools, or getting the same healthcare as white people.

I know what racial quotas are, but I'm not aware of any legally mandated quotas in the US, for businesses at least.
Not for private businesses, as a blanket term, but private businesses that work government contracts are required to, at least, for federal contracts, I believe.
Here
is the wiki about Affirmative Action in the US. I don't believe this has much to do with the fact that racism occurs between individuals more often than between government and citizens. That being said, racism is a problem that goes both ways, white to black and black to white. To say that racism is a thing that comes from whites to blacks, or is not felt by whites, is racist. White people feel the effects of racism too, and it isn't pleasant. The billboard is racist, and inaccurate. To use such a racist platform to argue against racism is so, fake. If you really wanted to end racism, you wouldn't target a race.

Honestly, there is much more direct racism today that is directed towards whites, because it is accepted, and in some forms (
CBC
) even sanctioned by the government.

Well, the billboard wasn't meant for you either.
My point was, people who are not white have nothing stopping them from getting the same jobs, going to the same schools, or getting the same healthcare as white people.
The unemployment rate for black people is higher, the lifespan lower and because of property tax, schools in black neighbourhoods are underfunded and "ghettoised". I accept the possibility that there are biological factors to that, but that's still a limitation on their living condition.

Another instance of idiotic "journalism",
CNN say
s that "illegal immigrant" is a racial slur. Once it is racist to question people's right to be in the country illegally, then perhaps they can have the
human right
to vote. After all they do pay sales taxes, and work here. Taxation without representation and all that. Once that happens, then Democrats can win handily, due to the decades of pandering to lawbreakers.
This is quite irritating to me, because, well, I can think.

I heard an interesting little discussion on the radio on the way home.
Illegal's "generally" do not pay taxes. I realize that some do, but the majority do not. In all states, and under federal law, failure to pay taxes is a felony.
Hey, even some of the most notorious gangsters like Al Capone were finally locked up due to simple tax evasion.
If Obama wants to give amnesty to illegals, and restrict states like Arizona from enforcing federal laws, than stop arresting them for being here illegally, and start arresting them for tax evasion. Obama would either have to re-write the tax laws (which would be fine as long as I dont have to pay taxes), or allow states to protect their borders.
