So I checked the cutscenes from Citadel on youtube, cause I was curious about how it pans out, and I just don't have the time and do not want to waste the money to play it now. The expanded romances that it has range from sweet to super sad to super amazingly beautifully bad-ass... Which one is the bad-ass one?
FemShep with Garrus. Spoilers ahead.
Since I am very much into dancing, I basically spent the entire romance scene swooning like hell. The animations were a little bit stiff, but that is pardonable, and all around the dance scene is just AMAZING.
Check it our here if you are curious:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvbdTPw6XQcAlso it has the best Mordin line ever said lol:
Mordin: "Looks like I broke the one rule on Omega... in more ways than one."
By the way Rank, did you get the Husk head in Leviathan? Is it just me, or is it the most annoying thing in the Universe? (and let me tell you, I did have to contemplate before I took away that title from Diana Allers)

Ok, spent ALL of yesterday playing Citadel, and.............. wow.
Just......... just wow.
Bioware, all is forgiven. That has got to be the best DLC on ME3, nay, the entire franchise. THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL. A true swan song to send the best trilogy in the history of gaming on a high note.
First off, the sheer scope of it, it adds a ton of mini-games, a customizable home, a fairly long campaign (up to 7 hours long) of which I'll speak soon, a kickass party with every single playable squadmate across all 3 games, more romance cutscenes, including characters previously unromanceable (such as Vega, Samara, and........ Javik? apparently there is ONE thing primitives are good at) great music, and by far all the ingredients that make Bioware games great.
As far as the campaign goes, it has everything, this is another "Lair of the Shadow Broker", it has your typical Bioware witty humor, cranked up to eleven,
HEARTPOUNDING-FASTPACED-MICHAELBAYSTYLE-ACTION SEQUENCES against a new enemy type, new gameplay additions, what has got to be the best weapon in the game, a fantastic plot, 3 plot twists in a row, and more hilarious moments than I could possibly list.
This entire DLC is essentially a love note to every fan of ME3 out there, and you owe it to yourself to play this thing at least once, you're doing a disservice to yourself if you don't. To put this in a new light, YOU ARE NOT A MASS EFFECT FAN IF YOU DON'T PLAY IT.
It includes plenty of callbacks, references, and shout outs to previous moments in the series, and has what I genuenly consider to be
THE BEST BOSS FIGHT IN THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE but that's to be expected given that you fight......... erm....... well........
don't read spoiler if you haven't played it
yourself.
I'm not kidding, so THAT's the reason the boss fight is so awesome. I also love how for the first, and only time in the series, a biotic shepard can actually show off his/her powers in a cutscene, in ways that would make Jack or Samara writhe in jealousy. The new gun is a suppressed, customized, black market variant, of the Carnifex.
That thing is THE BEST weapon in the entire game, end of story. It hits almost as hard as a shotgun, is far more accurate, has a fast rate of fire, fast reload speed, good ammo capacity, and the highest headshot damage modifier in the game, with the proper upgrades, armor sets, and bonus powers, you can 2shot enemies even on insanity if you shoot them in the head with this thing. Plus the fact that its suppressed means enemies won't react if you use it to kill them behind their backs.
It also adds the M7 Assault Rifle, an assault rifle that looks identical (and sounds identical) to the basic assault rifle from the first game. It has unlimited ammo, all you gotta do is wait for it to cool off without letting it overheat, packs quite a punch, and brings back so much nostalgia.
You get to fight side-by-side with everyone from previous games in the new Armax Arena, and lemme tell you they're awesome, you even get a cool suit of armor if you break the highest score possible in that game.
And again, that humor :P I love love loooooooooooove the banter between squadmates on this DLC. Specially on the Archives, as on that particular sequence ALL your squadmates join, not just 2. Between everyone trying to one up each other, the friendly rivalry between the two teams (codenamed "Mako" and "Hammerhead"), Wrex being along for the ride, and Javik blatantly not caring about the team rivalry at all (Read: trash talking everybody) it is a
gold mine of hilarity.
Plus,
the best conversation in the game. (BTW this will loop forever in actual gameplay, it can go on as long as you want :P you're gonna have to interrupt it you wanna continue xD)
I could seriously go on forever on why this DLC is the best thing ever made, but suffice it to say this: As a hardcore Mass Effect fan, I URGE everyone to try this thing, hell, I played it for 20 min, then started again, as I wanted my wife to enjoy this with me (she's also a fan of the ME franchise) and the 2 of us spent most of yesterday laughing like maniacs at all the many easter eggs, references, jokes, memes, shout outs, callbacks, and awesome moments in the DLC.
Now that I've finally played all 3 of the DLCs on ME3, I can compare them to their counterparts in ME2.
Leviathan is equivalent to Arrival. It adds nothing new, battles are not exactly boring, but not really fun either, just the same old same old stuff, and the campaign isn't massively interesting, its all very serious and dark in tone, but its indispensable to play it due to the lore it adds, it helps clarify the mystery behind the reapers, and its absolutely a must-see, even if the actual gameplay wasn't anything stellar.
Omega is equivalent to Project Overlord (Except that Overlord was much more fun): as it includes gorgeous scenery, cool cutscenes and action fights, and a pretty decent story that is nonetheless entirely optional, and can be skipped without missing anything important.
Citadel is Equivalent to Lair of the Shadow Broker. It has everything, zany witty sarcastic humor, very fun, thrilling, and challenging fights, a truly memorable and super climmatic boss fight, great plot, GREAT character development, tons of mini-games, and more.
All in all, massive kudos to bioware. Even if ME3's ending wasn't what I expected it to be, and even if the Extended Cut DLC didn't entirely fixed my issues with it, all is forgotten and forgiven, they are once more my number 1 favorite game developer company, its clear the love, and effort placed on this DLC, and it helped a lot in making the bitterness of the ending a lot easier to swallow.
For me, ME3 would had been the most perfect game in history if only the awesome party with your squad took place AFTER finishing the game, not before. That would had been THE BEST way to send off this franchise that has provided me with 7 years of entertainment.
Bravo Bioware. Bravo.
/hats off.
