I am curious of the impact this has had on the casual/non-raiding front. It was my impression guilds often did heroics together akin to pugs doing normal dungeons to ensure complete dungeons (and max badges).
Q:
How have Heroic dungeons been taking the changes over 2.2, 2.3 in relation to gaining badges?
And concerning the clearing of bosses in ZA and gaining 1-2 badges per boss...
Q:
Does this translate to a raid gaining more badges than 2x 5-man heroics completed in the same time frame?
Sounds very good for guilds, but potentially harmful to the casual/non-raiding audience.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic. Please make sure you reply to the actual questions/issue at hand. Keep it clean, please!

Are there no thoughts illustrating the change(s) in trends ala Heroics/Badges since 2.3 was released?

Also the new heroic dungeon badge quests mean that more people are doing the more challenging heroics and overall more people are doing them because of the fairly amazing gear rewards.
Could you elaborate on this a little more? I'm going to go see what I can dig up pertaining to "badge quests" but I would like to know if you have any other thoughts (or unwritten info.) concerning this.
My main concern towards raid-badges pertained to "farm status". There are two types of players who raid (concerning 5-man content): a) players who will pug & b) players who participate in-guild only.
Last I played, many players (potentially great people!) would exclude themselves from the general populace, so far as pickup groups were concerned. This in turn led to a lower amount of quality end-game players to group with.
My theory was that with raid badges, players with successful raiding guilds would run entry-level raid dungeons (e.g. Karazhan) to obtain their Badges rather than actually running heroics on a daily basis.
That said, have the "badge quests" really proven to be incentive enough to keep heroics a daily ritual among the general populace? or have they been reduced to situational outtings?
(read: do one heroic to get your last 2 badges and stop.)

the dialy heroic gives you 2 bonus badges with gets you them faster. If you have a good group you can clear it in about 5 hours and get 20 badges plus epics. some heroics you can clear in an hour or less so you get the same amount of badges just you don't get the good epics since some of the heroic epics are worse than some 70 blues. And you have to put up with a pug if you are in one.
I don't think this slows down you gaining badges, you just have to work a little harder because the more geared people will do heroics less and just farm them in raids. That will make heroic groups wearing less epics unless it is the daily for bonus badges.
