its no wonder !@#$ like 9/11 happens. americans think they can walk on other peoples turf an not have anything happen.
No. 9/11 happened because people are hateful selfish arrogant ass holes. Those Muslims killed innocent people. The youngest person to die was younger than my son is (he is 3). I will not stand for people placing blame on the people who died. It's naive, dangerous, and exactly what those murdering religious fanatics wanted. This statement, Primehorn, is completely unacceptable.

. This just shows how little the legislators understand what the bill does to the internet.

It's not like America was innocent though.

Yeah, and Ted Bundy's victims weren't perfect angels. Maybe they were 'asking for it', too. I see your point.

The point I'm trying to make is that the US has a looooong history of war. Like the bombing of Kosovo in 1999. That couldn't be justified. Neither can 9/11. I'm just trying to say it didn't come from nothing.
You edited it before I posted this :3 Or are you just being sarcastic?

No, really, great point. Maybe someone should kill someone you love, and then I'll just tell you that he/she had it coming, because of what the US did in Kosovo in 1999. Your logic is terrific.

...
In Kosovo, innocent people were killed
a freaking kindergarden was bombed.
In 9/11, lots of innocent people died, like you said, down to the age of 3.
None of these are justifiable, good or something you should do.
I'm just saying that the US has done bad things and as such has received bad things. I honestly think both sides are evil here. None of them are good.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Now if you want to keep talking about 9/11, I'm sure there's actually a thread about it floating around here somewhere. This is SOPA/PIPA.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##I agree with Pwntiff ^_^

Yeah, I kinda got offtopic there, my bad. One of the things I hate the most about Sopipa is that it will affect the rest of the world too. I just live in this small racist country and it will affect me too, even though we have nothing to do with it here.

Sorry, it just really pisses me off to hear "Yeah a 2 year old was intentionally smashed to death, and that's not justified, but the US has it coming because it accidentally hurt people trying to liberate a country". People that subscribe to that nonsense need to be confronted.

Heh, it's unfair world. We treat each other like !@#$ where we should instead work together to make all of the world a better place to be. But I think we should stop derailing the thread.

Agreed.
PIPA/SOPA sucks.

People seem unable to divorce the responsibility of a person for something they did, and the responsibility of a person for something that someone else did in the name of their country/religion/race, etc.
Saying that the civilians who died on 9/11 aren't innocent because of something that someone else did in the name of their country is a logical fallacy. It's like saying the Muslim kid next door deserved to get beat to death because of something someone else did in the name of his religion, or that the white woman down the street should have seen the rape coming, considering how much white people in general have oppressed other races.
Responsibility is an individual thing. We vote to elect a government, but on a day to day basis we have very little control over their actions- the best we can do is elect different people the next term and hope they do better. Many people who vote around the world have no access to any accurate information about the government officials, or about whatever enemy the government waves around to promote unity. Many countries don't even have that option- the government exists irregardless of the wishes of the citizens. To say that each individual citizen shares the guilt of a decision someone in power made is a cop out, regardless of if you're saying it about the US, about Palestine, Israel, Iran, China, Russia, etc.
And to tie this into the original topic....if SOPA passed, it would make it twice as hard for people to have enough access to unbiased information (or at least information with different biases), to make the best choices about who they elect to make these decisions.

All of that was typed while I was writing my post, actually, so I didn't see it until I hit submit.
EDIT: For inappropriate snarkiness.

I called my reps twice each, once yesterday to 'express discontent with SOPA', and once today to encourage 'continued fight against SOPA'. For once, the democrats are rubbing me right.
