I was tanking on my warrior bank alt for some valor bracers for one of my toons. The mage gave me focus magic.
Thats strange, I was healing a dungeon on my Shaman and the mage put his FM on the prot warrior tank. But this was a few weeks ago tho.

That's strange. The wording of the ability does imply it procs off of all crits though. Maybe I'll test this out, but I think it probably still procs off spells ONLY.

Well the mage was barely out dpsing my prot warrior (Who sucks) on bosses, so I'm pretty sure he was doing it wrong.

i had some tryhard baddie kid from my server leave my dungeon queue and wipe us all to trash because i only did 5k dps on the first pull in a heroic as assassination w/o FoK. he accused me of trying to be carried and being bad at the game, i told him he was an idiot and got stage 1 daggers a few hours later
baddie tryhard kids gonna be bad
he even told me that he actually farmed 4k justice points before taking heroic queues
i think i laughed so hard that i almost #$%^ myself
but in a more pleasant experience
the first time i tried playing a healer, i thought i needed hit rating so that my heals wouldnt miss
lost a dagger with exp to a hunter wearing str rings and trinkets

So without FoK, was that 5k on a single target? Unless it was someplace like Grim Batol where first pull is a non-elite trash mob, 5k is still bad.
Although he shouldn't really jump the gun on the first pull, you didn't really wrote down any sign of you not-trying-to-be-carried. Getting state 1 daggers doesn't really matter as it shows nothing. Instead you should have stated how much dps you did in that run after he left.

4k JP isn't really hard to cap pre-85. Even if you lvl 69-85 in one week, I would assume you can get around
3000 JP
scrath that, around 2500 JP would be close.
Overall, my conclusion only leads me to you really do tried to get carried.

this didn't make me laugh but i found kind of amusing. I was playing my druid as healer in a random with my wife who was tanking as prot.
So we go through most of the instance i believe it was H stonecore and we get to the last boss in which she starts saying, "OH MY GOD! i'm not even gonna tell you what i just did" turns out she ran the entire instance in holy gear lol.
We're both decently geared so i didn't really notice the extra dmg, the part i found funny was she still managed to top the dps meter >_>

*covers face with palm*
Well I suppose they would be getting hit harder and thus would result in more vengeance..... Plus the DPS might have been REEAAAAAALLLLLLLLY bad.

I have seen DS geared warriors in ordinary heroics doing 12k dps with 3 stacks of luck of the draw.
I never know whether to laugh or cry.

The question I have is on the warrior abilities. Are they considered "spells"? If they are, do they qualify for the extra 3% crit? I've always assumed it to be a caster buff and usually just put it on the healer. Never thought of putting it on a melee tank, however, it could be plausible if his abilities are spells, and the crit chance returned to you work off of any crit.

Zone into Hour of twilight on my deathknight tank (164k health at the time) healer says " Always nice when the tank has horrible health" I shoot back "Always nice when the healer bases everything off of health" anyway we clear up to the first boss and down him with me being the only one at full health and everyone else is dead. He left(under own free will) after that boss.

I've got two, both the same thing but different runs. Leveling a couple of alts, on my level 55 ish resto druid got into a group with a rouge who was only doing 75 dps compared to the 300-500 of the rest of the group. I take a glance at him he is wearing cloth intellect gear, a caster off hand and had no poisons and no agility gear on.
Isnt it what rouges do?
Popular RPG class name is rogue.
Rouge is a type of make up or french for red.
I mean its written similarly but pronounced completely different. I have no idea why people make this mistake.

I was once reamed out by a tank in normal Grim Batol on my priest because I couldn't keep her up. She had barely over 90k hp, wearing dps gear, and insisted on face tanking large mob groups that did high burst damage. I could only bubble and penance her and before I could even cast a hasted greater heal she'd go splat.
Called me a fail healer and her shaman buddy who didn't even have half my mana pool claimed she could heal her easily. I basically told them that "Ok, if you can healer her so well, then have at it" and quit. I'm not dealing with people that delusional.
