Kinda hard to vote for your favorite expac when Cata isn't even over yet...
For a second there, I thought you were Aestu. But yes, I agree - I imagine there'll be some change when 4.3 and (possibly, though unlikely(?) 4.4) is over.
Well if people change their minds when 4.3 comes out, they are free to revote.
There were 397 items introduced in BC that had 3 sockets. I don't care to check all of those to see if they once had 4 sockets. However, there are only
16
items in Cataclysm with 3 sockets, and there were only 181 in Wrath. I think this satisfies the more general point that there were way more sockets on gear back in BC.
I'm not denying that. I'm just tired of Atik's rubbish.
Yeah....that's never going to happen.

Oh man, how I miss all the BC sockets. So fun to have four gems in my chest piece...
I'm not sure I remember this; did the fourth socket come with Blacksmithing or something?
No. There were multiple pieces with upwards of 3 or 4 sockets. It was insane and awesome.
I really do wish we had more sockets. I usually only have 1 socket per item, and it's getting old =/
I also wish the gem you socket would show on the armor. That'd just be cool.
I remember how in diablo 2, socketing a weapon would slightly change its coloration.
I recall how I had a sword on my barbarian that I gemmed with a ruby (Red) and the sword itself became red-ish.

It's interesting that Cata was billed as getting back to the roots of the game. Judging by the poll it succeeded, but maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

BC was the best.
Never got tired of heroics, and it felt good to be a captain karazhan having fun along with my guild.

If they did that, I would be super-pissed. I HATE glowing enchants enough as it is.

Started playing a week before Wrath was released, so I can't comment on BC or Vanilla.
I like both Wrath and Cata, but it felt to me like I had more to do in Wrath. Could be related to that the world was new to me, but I still had some of that feeling at the end of Wrath. In Cata that feeling went away much faster for me.

I don't mind people being nostalgic and having feelings for what have been and was the main content, but heads off of you who actually wanna go back to the old time. The past is dead! End of story.
Nerf n buff, I look for future changes and I'm feeling blessed for being able to experience the progress in dungeons, pvp, profession and life.
I've had a fun ride doing them all.

While I did play in BC I didn't get to raid much and I can only thank the game for that (the progression path).
but then came..
Wrath - which continues to amaze me. Lvl'ing alts or doing quests for Loremaster. Every day in Northrend is a new adventure packed with details all the way down to critters. Cluck cluck!
And Dalaran. How I miss you! And Ulduar? Invention of Hard Modes anyone?
Bring back mindblowing cities build for our millennium! Not a botox implant on the old ones.
- You say Lagaran? I never dropped below 60fps..
Sure the expansion had its flaws, the grind got out of hand when so many people had access to outgearing. I say introduce Hard Mode 5 mans. Get rid of Normal HC. It needs 3 levels. Easy medium and Hard just like on your gameboy :p
And then!
Cataclysm The Revamper! Also removed portals. The idea was right... But now I just get frustrated when I have to go outside Stormwind... The travel is plain stupid when you think of LFD.
Hotimer has come online!
System: " Hi Hotimer! I can port you and your 4 friends everywhere you want!"
Hotimer: "Ok. It's just me though, I want to go visit Dalaran, I can easily spend an hour there, it's so pretty =)"
System: "NO! Not going to happen! Dungeon or GTFO!"
Hotimer: "but I've done Zul'Again a 1000 times already :'("
System: "Too bad! You either queue (pref as tank for extra spoils so the rest can QQ more) or you do your idle thing in the air above that capital city-thingy!"
Hotimer has logged out.

Must say BC, the game felt fresh and exciting always and doing heroics was really fun. Also help some due I liked Karazhan raid a lot and then they made ZA who was also epic to do.
