I didn't think people in off-topic even followed WoW anymore xD.
I do! Well sortof anyway...but you tend to pay attention when you're minding your own business and suddenly theres a swarm of people doing /y HOWWWWLLLL! and you're like "wtf?" and then the next thing you know the world server is down -.-})

Ahh so he did get unbanned. I kind of saw that coming, considering he wasn't really the one instigating anything. I guess Darkspear can be a bit happier too, and I don't have to see /y HOWL in chat anymore.
or y'know... Razer may have gave Blizz a little nudge.

I think Blizzard just wanted a scapegoat.
Wasn't he banned like a second after the server crashed? I don't think Blizzard would have had much time discussing why and why not he should be banned in that period of time. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I guess he's now unbanned.
Not surprising...That was quicker than expected though.
I think it's awesome to see Blizzard cave like they did.
This is nothing new.

this is an extremely unjust and unconstitutional infringement on a person's rights. Hundreds of people testify that Swifty had nothing to do with a server crash, he was holding a contest to get players into YOUR game.
Unless you personally made Swifty aware of each server's capacity at any given second of every day you have no right to ban him. You do realize that if Swifty sees fit he will be able to take legal action against the company...and win?
something i pulled in the wowforums. :P
The overall point the poster attempts to make is okay, but the fine details are a load of dingo's kidneys.
The incident that led to his banning is not 'unconstitutional' in any way, and it's legally within Blizzard's rights based on the EULA to ban anyone at any time for any reason. To claim that he could sue Blizzard and win? Not a chance.
Again, I agree with the sentiment of the post - it was pretty dumb of them to ban him. I just think a few of the terms used in the details are patently foolish given the situation.

sums it up pretty nicely. Yes, Swifty did nothing wrong...but the idiots who flocked there, who were trying to crash the server during his event? Yeah, don't see them getting their accounts back.
