Ryja you have a sick mind...
It's not a sick mind, it's a constant state of fear that something may possibly happen to him, probably due to how he was raised, how he perceives blacks in the area he lived in, and many other factors. To label it as sick makes you the person with the sick mind, unless he's just joking about it.
There are many factors. But honestly, when I read it, I did feel pretty awkward but I understand (trying to) where he's coming from.
Sometimes, the media perceives black people to be sex hungry, criminals, rapists, homicidal individuals who want to steal, pillage, torture, and rape. I wouldn't say that what the media says is true but I can't say that it is also false.
Maybe the media, life experiences, porn, fear, attitude, black culture made that his #1 fear, which you should at least respect before trashing it as being a sick minded person. Maybe he was completely serious and you offended him. :P

I have 4 brothers. To bear the thought of any of them going makes me................. lose myself.... When it's a family member, scars still bleed on a daily basis in the heart and there is no cure to it except by simply choosing to ignore it and pretend everything is okay when it's not. I lost my grandma last year. I know exactly how you feel. It's horrible. :(
I am sooo sorry for your loss.
The heart will keep bleeding until it takes you to the grave. Or at least that's how I feel when a loved one passes.
Well, yes and no. I also lost my mother 11.5 years ago. I no longer miss her, and I also realize (as harsh as this sounds) that my life would probably be a lot worse if she was still alive.
In fact I don't think I ever really grieved; there was this strange confusion in me for a while, I was 9 years old and struggled to comprehend the idea that she was never coming back.
My foster-brother was different story though, I still think of him every day, and the awesome things we'd still be doing together if he was alive. We had a massive night last year for his 20th birthday, and will do so again this year for his 21st (thinking about going to Surfers Paradise). There was a few months there when I would see people who were a similar height/weight to him and wore similar clothes and I would just have this urge to go beat the living crap out of them, just for looking like him. That's diminished now, but yeah, it definitely hit me a lot harder than losing my mother.
EDIT: P.S. Sorry for hijacking the thread. I'll leave now.

Yea, I face a dilemma at times. Should I make my bonds very deep with many people or should I keep them away. When bad things do happen, the trauma wouldn't be as bad as intended. There's a fine line in the mix which is unknown and different for each individual person. At times, I want to keep things simple and pretend that they are in a better place now with God.....

*** This really happened! ***
Inventing the seqway, then having your body found at the bottom of a cliff.
The irony is unbearable.

1) Cancer- it's slow, and painful, and emotionally draining for you and everyone around you. I'd group other slow-acting terminal illnesses in with this too- cancer is just the only one i've seen up close.
2)Fire- burns are also incredibly painful, and if you don't suffocate from the smoke it's a horrible way to go.
3)Starvation- again slow and painful, and you have plenty of time to fear death as it comes.
I tried to stick with causes of death that were more realistic than some of the ones depicted in Hollywood.

Lol dude I have nothing against black people, I actualy have a very close friend who is black. I was just making a joke about the stereotype about black dudes having a big @#$%, you see jokes like that in half teh comedy movies and tv shows and really anything today. Being afraid to joke about that kind of thing is what perpetuates racisim and stereotypes, like I said one of my best friends is black and we joke with each other all the time about stuff like that.
Anyway I think he was refering to me having a "sick mind" do to the graphic and nature of my death scenerios, I suppose that Ill own but I prefer to think of it as being creative, I mean this thread is about the worst ways you can think of to die, and thats what I thought of. The fact that my third choice was "justin beiber live in concert" should have clued you in that I was joking.
EDIT: The fact that out of all the sick stuff I mentioned "big black dude" was what you thought he was refering to as sick, kind of makes me think you may be a bit uptight about race yourself...

Well, it's not really that much of a stereotype, black people are, mostly, stronger built than white people. And that counts for everywhere on the body.

Buried alive definitely, or any other sort of drowning (I consider it dirt-drowning, that's essentially what happens. being burned at the stake (your shoes will literally melt off you, etc). Even more scary to me than death is what happens to the guy in
Johnny Got His Gun.
