My hypothesis on why alliance loses alot

For the life of me, I never understood this presumptuous thinking. But I keep hearing it:
"Alliance is full of kids. People who start out playing WoW choose the 'good' guys, and think the Alliance is all about that, and people who play the Horde
know
how to play the game, and are serious players."
...
...I mean, what are you basing that on? Your experiences? The experiences of you and your friends, and your guild? There are 10 million people playing this game. Unless you have specifically sat down with the folks at Blizzard and gone over the demographics of the subscribers, you don't really know anything. You're just giving your opinion, and it's ridiculous to just spout it off as absolute fact.
But that's just a pet peeve of mine. Back to the topic...
...well, I suppose there's a question there, too. When you say "Alliance loses a lot", are you referencing any specific statistics? Do you mean in Battlegrounds in general, or the Arena? With the Arena, sure, I guess those statistics are available, but for just WSG/AB/AV/EOTS? Are the collected stats for that up anywhere? Because the last thing I'd heard from this was an excerpt from some of the folk at Blizzard, who pretty much said "It's about 50%-50%, give or take".
People tend to remember stinging losses more than happy victory. I openly refuse to believe anyone who's done any amount of PVP at all has never been in one battleground where they just steamrolled over the opposition, and one battleground where they were just beaten so embarrasingly that they were left shaking their heads in shame. I spent most of this last weekend in battlegrounds for the trinket, boots, and bracers, and my experience this weekend was about the same as it was the last time I did PVP. We won some, we lost some. There were times we won three in a row, times when we lost three in a row. If you had to ask me to give you a rate, though?
I'd say about 50/50.
But it's a bit premature to just say the Alliance sucks at all battlegrounds. I have Alliance and Horde characters, and both times, I've seen my teammates and enemies do very, very, very stupid things. Like my paladin teammate sitting on his mount midfield, watching me run the flag with four peole chasing me while I'm at half health, and not even bothering to toss a heal or something my way. Conversely, I've been in Arathi Basin matches, seeing just one level 31 priest defending a base by himself, with no back-up at all. And on Alliance side and Horde side, you hear the same thing in trade chat at least once or twice:
"God, Alliance/Horde always beat us in PVP".
Seriously.
50/50.

He could be referring to his specific statistics for the battles he's been in if he has the add-on Honorfu or a similar one that does track your statistics in bg's (both for each bg and a total of all those he has played)
Really it comes down to your battlegroup, also paying attention to how many/which bg weekends you have played as those bring out a different crowd than the norm sometimes.

Oh, okay. Thank you. I don't use a lot of add-ons (well...any, actually), so I didn't know if he was actually referring to anything. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
But, again, Honorfu, or some such? That could track the battlegrounds that he has personally been in. But I doubt that anything just tracks them across everything except at Blizzard's headquarters, and I don't even know if they track that all the time.
Still, though? I don't think you can make sweeping generalizations about entire factions just based on your personal experiences. "Horde suck" or "Alliance suck" frequently just means "
My
experiences with Horde/Alliance has led me to think that they suck."
But it's not divine law, or anything.

if you chain loose in a BG... on the next line in to the que wait 3 minutes or so... if it were bad people, they'll be in a group before you then, thus you're playing with a new batch of ppl...
works for me allmost every time, it breaks the chain loosing...
i'm alliance and win over 50% of the rounds i go in, especially AV...
i noticed in the last 2 weeks alliance is suddenly stronger in AV, don't know why... horde seems to focussed in defending and trutling us down... while we just down drek with 2 towers still standing... :-D yeah less honor, but still quicker honor/hour then a turtle AV...

perhaps its the word alliance that kills the alliance all together.
take the word alliance into consideration-
together, organized, protecting one another and dieing with one another.
a new player roles alliance most times cause he probably feels safer with the alliance.
when in all reality, he gets killed twice as often.
whats weird is i dont like horde at all, so i always role alliance.

Last night I ended up in the BG daily (WSG). This is unusual, I generally avoid WSG because in my experience the loss rate is pretty bad. Anyway - we started with 5 of my guild as a group. Simple simple strat, we split ourselves between raid group 1 and raid group 2. Group 1 defended our guy running their flag. Group 2 killed their flag runner. Generally our flag carrier was a pali from our guild who was also the RL. Result - a rather long BG but we won 3-0.
Next go (not everyone had picked up the daily) we had 7 people from our guild. We ran into a well organized premade and one of the pick up in our group spent the entire BG insulting us and not fighting (my guess someone looking for a quick loss). This one was even longer and we were unable to win. They out geared us and were at least a coordinated as we. Loss 0-3
Next go 9 of our side from our guild. The other side had a lot of healers. We easily grabbed their flag and held it, but it was extremely difficult to overwhelm their healing and defense and kill their flag carrier. However after a very long fight we won 3-0.
This is just another confirmation of what has been said here. Coordination > gear. If coordination is equal gear wins.
