Except there are a lot of us that are on PvE servers who are still being griefed and ganked. And I am rather sure your response is going to be "If you don't want to be ganked, then don't flag.", but there are ways to force a flagging in a PvE server, the most common was to have a member of the same faction invite a person to a group who was flagged. Until a recent patch it would automatically flag you as well and then you were in for a corpse camping. I know...it happened to me on my very first toon.
So let me try to explain why we don't like ganking (defining ganking as the act of killing significantly lower level players and preventing them from playing for hours for no other reason than enjoyment). If you play Halo, Call of Duty or similar games I am sure that you have at least once encountered someone using a device that causes extreme server lag to the other players, thus allowing them to kill the players and win the match at their leisure. Is that fair? I think not. Would you enjoy playing match after match with that person? Most likely no, because there is not even the slightest chance of winning.
That is ganking.
Now, I do firmly believe that if you are flagged on a PvE server and found by the opposing faction that you should have to run back to your corpse as a punishment. But spending hours killing that lowbie is just not appropriate. Give them a spanking for foolishness and send them on their way.

3 Easy Steps To Stop You From Getting Ganked On A PvE Server
1. Do not run back to your corpse and rez right away.
2. Wait 5 minutes to become unflagged. Works as a ghost.
3. Don't accept random invites from people you don't know.
Easy, right? If you're being camped on a pve server, it's your fault. No one elses.
Edit: Fixed my bullets since wowhead doesn't like their own code ><

Yes those are valid ways to avoid being camped. But there are other ways to grief, such as running an aggro train, killing quest givers and killing all of the mobs in a given area. These are all frustrating things to go through that can, if continued long enough, force a player out of the game. Especially a newer player.

You can be aggro trained from both sides. Are you trying to tell me your own faction should be banned as well?
I kill flightmasters and questgivers occasionally. In fact, they're more of a challenge than most players are. Perhaps there's a reason behind it and not just to grief.
Look, if you want a single player experience in an MMO, try EQ2 or something else where the population is so sparse you could solo your way to the top. If you want an MMO, there are things you'll have to learn to deal with.

I didn't roll the wrong server. I chose my server because my son plays there and I like running with him from time to time. Also, I'm not complaining about being ganked. My complaint is that it gets old getting camped because some braindead fool does it over and over. Getting killed by another player is part of the game. The problem is when the person camps. THAT is horse crap.
So you can save the "I want a challenge" argument. It doesn't work on me. Where is the challenge for an 80 or a 70, or whatever in repeatedly killing someone 10 levels lower than you. Right, there isn't one. It is merely ego stroking for the player to do it.
Yeah, you did pick the wrong server.

I think the key is duration.
While their site makes it very clear that they will not intervene in normal PvP 'grief', there is a point where it can go beyond that. When the action goes from normal corpse camping to harassment, Blizzard can (and will) take action.
One of my co-worker's played on a PvP server, and got his wife playing as well. For some reason, a former guild member started stalking the guy's wife consistently. We're not talking corpse camping for a few hours; this guy chased her around for hours every day, for a week.He traced her through an 'anonymous' character on another account that he had left in the guild for some purpose. They finally submitted a ticket, and Blizzard 'took action'.
They assume that the guy was banned, since those characters never logged in again - but it didn't matter that much, because Blizzard gave them a free server transfer to another server.
If we're talking about short term corpse camping and other stuff - Blizzard obviously considers that acceptable. There is a limit to what they'll accept, however.

Moonglum has decided that he doesn't want to spend his time in-game getting corpse camped, because he wants the achievement, and blames his misfortunes thereof on "hardcore PvPers". Never mind, of course, that "hardcore PvPers" don't generally bother with world PvP, and it's wholly baseless to assume those ganking him are necessarily "hardcore". This is a hardcore: he is driven by the desire to obtain something in the game, and takes the game seriously enough to invent reasons acceptable to his ego why he can't get it.
Wow are you over thinking it.
I just dont like spending large amounts of time waiting for a high level character to get bored with killing a character that isn't worth anything to them. They are doing it for the ego trip of being able to one or two shot someone or, and this is worse, they are just a giant @#$%head.
If I get killed by a player close to my level and I didn't play well enough to win, oh well, thats the game.
As for my "invention" My ego isn't an issue. This is a video game and as such has absolutely zero bearing on my ego.
If I can't get an achievement or something in the game because another player is actively preventing that it is NOT an invention of mine.
My guess is you are one of the players who makes play difficult for lowbies just because you can.

Wow. Hey guys, why make another QQ topic about ganking. As i said, ganking is something that just happens, and will always happen, and stuff. The point of my humongous post on the previous page was... well, i just wanted to explain to people like Zoneseek, that ganking is not honorable behaviour. It is by no stretch of imagination positive acting. You are just doing something plain evil, when you gank. What i wanted to say was... when you are an $%^&*!@, stop hiding behind stupid justifications, and get the balls to admit that you are being an %^&*!@#. "Being on a PvP server" does not, and will never be an excuse for dishonorable behaviour, and i really hate when people spread that kind of information.
QQing about being ganked? Get over it guys. And there have already been a million topics about that.
edit: Interesting. The word Ass is not filtered, but #$%^&*! is. Oh well. I guess the second is more of a vulgarism than the first.

To clarify:
I make the distinction between Asylu being a casual and Moonglum being hardcore by their motivations.
Asylu has decided that he wants to spend his limited time in-game doing something that he finds more fun than world PvP, or being corpse camped, or whatever. This is a casual: he is driven by the desire to seek fun in the game in his limited time.
...I have just a few points to make if you will give me the time to do so.
The first is rather trivial, but important to me. I am, in fact woman. I am well aware that the male pronoun is the most commonly used due to social conventions and I am not upset, just correcting that as being called a guy is a small pet peeve of mine.
The second is more of how I was typed as a casual. As I said before there are better things to do than world PvP over a holiday boss (and if you are playing any sort of game for any reason but personal enjoyment than you need to review your hobbies, but that's implied of course) such as finishing up quest lines, earning achievements that you've missed, raiding, and collecting rare pets/and or mounts. I am casual
because
it is a hobby of mine, not a second job. I try not to take it seriously and enjoy my playtime. I do take raiding rather seriously though, and I like racking up various raid achievements with my guildmates.

Why do y'all respond to Aestu?
Why do y'all respond to Aestu? Apparently, he/she has a bad reputation, so just ignore what he/she says, and eventually he/she might get off his/her high horse.
Let me ask you, Veryape:
What is your estimate of most WoW players' wisdom?
I don't understand what that has to do with people not responding to you. Please, explain.
DERP.
Why are YOU responding to Aestu?
