It's not hard. Nothing changed from pre-4.0.1. I was spamming heroics the other day as fast as I ever did, not bothering with Rend and BnT. Don't make this out like "Tanking is hard" or specifically "Warrior tanking is hard." Just get better at it.
By the way, this goes back to Aestu's "Concrete Advice" from the top of page 3. You know how I ensure I never lose agro? I make sure that I'm the first one into the pack of mobs and I'm the only one there for a good 2 or 3 seconds before DPS catches up. Keep moving, charge that next pack. Get there before your DPS are in range of the mobs. I have a good 20,000 damage into a pack before the DPS even starts.
I'm not the one complaining. I have no problems tanking with either class. A lot more goes into warrior tanking than paladin tanking, was the point I was making. I'm BnT right now for leveling, went from 20 - 40 Saturday grouping once a level and questing in between.
I agree with being the first one there. I've topped dps charts in 90% of the groups I've been in, been outdpsed by people with boa, enchants and engi items (started my warrior on my girlfriend's server, so no heirlooms.)
Proactivity is better than reactivity from a warrior standpoint. If you can't do that, you may as well play a pally.
Oh, and for the record I was talking 3.3 pally tanking, so yeah I'm most likely wrong about the new rotation.

I agree with the that as well. I didn't mean to imply that I disagreed. What I disagree with is that, if for some reason, the tank has not yet attacked - within reason* - it is the tank's fault if the DPS pulls and dies.
If I am answering someone requesting an invite to guild, and a DPS pulls and bites it, then I will not accept blame, nor has anyone said anything that convinces me that such a circumstance is my fault.
*'Within reason' being a brief interruption - like having to answer something in guild chat or having to let the dog outside - and not a lengthy afk - like going to stand in front of the microwave while your five-minute TV dinner heats up.

When that happens, I quickly tell them they can tank it and watch as the healer usually doesn't heal them. If they're impatient, tell the healer to let them die, then when they do pull aggro on it all and have the group kill it.

Yup, that's generally how it works.
There's a reason the adage, "You spank it, you tank it," exists. It seems that a number of people disagree though, and consider it telling on a tank's ability when a DPS pulls without the tank's knowledge/permission.

Tell them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. People nowadays want instant gratification because most people from vanilla that remember the growing pains have since quit after accomplishing everything the game had to offer, leaving us with re-res hellbent on doing anything they can to be annoying. (Aestu, I'm looking at you.)
Don't take their opinions to heart. If you're good and you know you're good, just drop group. 15 minutes and you can join another, probably better group. Queues for me are instant, and most likely the same for you.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. Clarify, please.

You should ask yourself why the discussion keeps leaning back towards this claim - that "im rly gud" and the problem is on the other end...and away from the notion that you might have to improve.
Xaratherus, Agoraphobic - how do you know you're good?
You're hellbent on annoying people.
I know I'm good because I don't have the problems that the OP has; Losing aggro. I've never had issues with losing aggro once I've established it. My issues stem from people pulling usually while I'm already mid-devastate spamming 4 or 5 mobs.

You're losing aggro all the same, and other tanks don't have that problem.
How can you say you're "good" if other tanks can do what you cannot?
I'm not losing aggro if I never had it in the first place. Your argument is fail.

Another tank could get that initial aggro and hold it. Why can't you?
Probably because I didn't pull my group, charge 50 yards ahead and pull another group because I enjoy my healer having enough mana to keep me up for the chain pulls I'm already doing without the dps needing to pull more. Maybe that's why.

Again - other tanks don't have that problem. They don't die NOR do they fail to get aggro. So why can't you?
Hell, a tank - of any class - can solo fiveman trash. So why are you worried about survival? Again, like I said, one of the marks of a bad player is taking trivial content seriously.
Wow, my warrior isn't 80. Also, content isn't trivial if the group isn't geared. Assume more imo.

You've obviously decided to sidetrack this discussion into a long, self-serving rant about how you're a "good" warrior tank despite having not even reached the level cap. All discussion outside your posts have been in the context of endgame, which is what this game is balanced around especially now that levelling is trivial.
Since you chose to disregard the context of others' posts until retroactively redefining the discussion so that you would not have to cede the point that perhaps you could do some things better, you're obviously not interested in having a serious discussion.
You're wasting our time. Discussion over.
You're right, the discussion is over. Unfortunately for you, the boundaries which you've set upon it is the only self-serving rant in this thread.
I've had an 80 warrior when Naxx was still hard, so don't give
me the "haven't reached the level cap" routine. I have and my point still stands - If your healer doesn't have the pool because they're also fresh 80s, dps should not be pulling more mobs. Your logic does not apply because NOT EVERYONE IN THE GAME IS RAID GEARED. Deal with it.

You're right, the discussion is over.
Just a tip, Agoraphobic: Don't bother. Let the discussion be over, because it's not worth it. You're arguing with someone who has had the basic difference between 'fact' and 'opinion' explained to him multiple times, but either is incapable of comprehending it, or unwilling to do so - which while not necessarily pertinent to this discussion, is telling nonetheless.

I can't count the number of times I've told him...
Fact: Anything that HsR says
Opinion: Anything anyone else says
So simple! It's amazing how many people don't get it!
