It has to hit then send a message to your client to tell it that Decimation is up so it's .

I'm having a little confusion with a few trinkets of mine. Yesterday I got the hit shoulder from ZA and I'm using it on my raid gear now, and with the hit I managed to get with it, I could switch Stump of Time for Soul Casket.
But I'm confused because on a few tests on the dummy, I usually made 14k dps sustained, now it dropped to 12.8k
Which one of those trinkets are better? (The other one I use is the Volcano Card)

Don't use dummies to measure output. They're horrible at that job.
Casket > Stump as long as you're able to cap hit without it.
A quick Sim of your character with current gear and one with a non-hit blue shoulder piece and some reforging to cover the changes shows an increase of about 500dps

Hmm I see, Its just that I tried to measure which of then was better, Stump of Time rarely ever procced for me, and casket has a 2 min cooldown, but at least I can coordinate when I want to give out more damage in a certain phase of an encounter.

I noticed that my comment wasn't very clear.
The purple shoulder and Casket trinket was a ~500dps increase over blue shoulder and Stump (as you'd expect/hope).
Saying things like "Stump of Time rarely procced for me" is really misunderstanding the nature of trinket procs. Just because you don't notice it proc doens't mean it doesn't proc. Meanwhile a 'use' proc is only as good as things like SimCraft say it is if they're used on coldown (or close to) so don't start saving the proc for specific phases, that'll generally be a DPS loss.

The glyph for soulstone says "you", but does anyone know if it only works for yourself of if that extra health bonus applies to whoever you use it on?
Post by

My untested assumption is that it only works on yourself... for what it's worth.

yes, its only you that get 30% (of the 45% so you get 58%)
if not the other users have the glyph to or I and many else will used in raid spec

I'm sure that this has been asked somewhere before, but is there any reason to go with affliction over destro in 5-mans? It seems that with more purp-kitted players, mobs tend to die off before your dots even get a few ticks (I'm exaggerating a bit, but not
too
much).

The reason would be that you enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it and can perform better as Destro then go Destro. There's really no need to be worrying about how the DPS gets done in 5mans.

The little Imp is pretty good but the Demonology talents you take later really help to make it the best pet. Until then you're probably right that the Succubus is better.
You can fill your primary tree at 69 and by 75 you can have 3/3
. At that point I would've thought the Imp would be the stronger option again.

Demo's fast and easy AoE certainly makes it the easiest dungeon spec.
Destro can do fine and you'd use whichever pet you've been using for soloing since even boss fights don't last long enough for Empowered Imp and Burning Embers to kick in much more than solo/trash.

That sounds like your pet's damage. Did you have any actions after the import?

Good afternoon, good evening or good night depending on where your from.
I remember reading in the past that using SB as the filler for affliction will be the best as of 4.2, after looking at the patch notes i cant find any information that backs this up. Has this change to affliction already happened?
(I tried a search on the forums but got threads back from '08 and '09, my appoligies for my ignorance if this has been answered many times before)

Ah yes, a friend in my guild had come up on this same issue.
The change was tested on the PTR for a couple of weeks and then hotfixed into the live game, so that 25% nerf to DL has already been in the game for around a month >.<
