well maybe this could change a few things, they have put a rating system on bgs, why cant they do it for each person as well in the LFD thing. things that affect rating as follows-being kicked or leaving early-being involved in a wipe-or even a voting system after the dungeon was complete, eveyone votes good or bad for the others and this would affect youre rating, i dunno something to think about i guess

I love, love, love the LFD tool.
Before it came out I was lucky to do two dungeons a day... and the percentage of jerks was just as high as it is with the LFD tool.
Now, dungeons break down like this: 80% of runs people say "hi", grind out the dungeon, say "bye", and leave. 10% of the runs descend into name calling nerd rage and the group disbands. 10% of the runs are epic for one reason or another.
If it weren't for LFD, I would probably never have run Utgarde Pinnacle with the healer that did the entire instance naked, never letting me drop below 50%. Or the the tank/healer combos that pull you through a heroic without a single break, all the while cracking jokes and teasing the group. Or the four guildies that recited the entire Leroy Jenkins script before pulling the last boss...
LFD has exposed me to so many different players and play styles that I can't help but be a better player for the experience.

The only problem i see with this is the smaller realms. My current realm is 60% ally 40% horde and a small-medium pop if it went to realm only queues would be over a hour for me since i play on the horde side. Now imagine some that have even smaller numbers and a larger faction split 24 hours queues?
I would love to see a reworking of the LFR system atm the fact that you can't queue in it while queueing in either LFD or PVP means its not used at all in my realm. That and shorter raids that are more pug friendly but with hardmodes for those who need a challenge.

I also agree that part of the major problem was the Badge system. It made people WANT to be in and out of heroics as soon as possible, because there's no reason to run them anymore except for the badges. It made older tier raids completely obsolete to the point where you get BETTER gear by just facerolling through heroics than you do in actually semi-challenging raids (and face it, even if you are overgeared you can wipe in Naxx or Ulduar if you don't have mechanics down).
IMO this is the problem. Raids should drop raid-level gear, heroics and their badges should have ONLY been to get ready to raid. If Naxx dropped Valor (I think Valor is the next step up from Heroism) badges, Ulduar dropped Conquest, ToC dropped Triumph and ICC dropped Frost, and Heroics dropped Heroism, there would still be reasons to get into raid groups for Naxx and Ulduar instead of ignoring them and letting them rot except for the weekly. Hell, I'd go so far as to say that it should have been this (speaking at current level of course):
* Heroics drop Heroism emblems
* ALL raids (barring ICC/current endgame) drop Triumph badges
Look at how this scenario would have panned out: You don't run mindless Heroics for gear, you run RAIDS. You run Naxx each week for triumph emblems and gear sidegrades, and then you run Ulduar for more sidegrades as your gear improves, and then you run ToC for 232 sidegrades as you're getting your T9 set together in preparation for ICC10. You don't get 232 items out of
heroic dungeons
that are better than gear you'd get in an actual Raid.
