Why didn't you post this in the "swept under the rug" topic, then?

then please, provide lore as to why the heck could they become druids. It's not a"Easy" thing to learn lore wise

I was hoping that when they lifted the NDA, we'd see Draenei druids. Sure, I like hoping for the long shot, but I was still hoping. Dwarfs and Trolls had gotten warlocks, which wasn't announced with the other class/race combos, so you could say I was a bit hopeful that maybe,
maybe
I would get my squid-goat-cat, but of course, no. Draenei are the only race getting no new classes and it really isn't fair. I'm really starting to agree with the whole "swept under the rug" idea.

blood elf druids, which frankly would be weird.
Actually the Blood Elves already have a history of lesser druidism amongst the elite ranger order of the Farstriders. They are just unable to shapeshift for now.
And there are Blood Elf Druids in the Botanica as well. :]

First off: I
wish
.
Lolotea? Is that you?Oh, get real. Do you seriously believe that anyone in favor of spasebaers would have to be me?
To begin with, I wouldn't call draenei "squid goats," seeing as they don't particularly
resemble
either animal.
Shamanism itself isn't a widely accept practice amongst the Draenei so i can't really see them as druids anytime soon. After all, Shamanism and Druidism aren't the same thing.So...because one form of syncretism is a new thing and still kind of controversial, and this other form of syncretism is different (but, contrary to popular belief, not diametrically opposed), they couldn't accept both? That doesn't follow.
Even Blood Elves are closer to being druids than Draenei. There are already multiple Lost One druids. There's
one
blood elf druid. And draenei seem more likely, culturally, to give a damn.
They already had a lot of classes availableNo more than humans, trolls, or blood elves. and Blizzard wants to keep druid choices balanced across factions. So for draenei druids to become a reality we'd need to see orc druids or blood elf druids, which frankly would be weird.So...leave
one
race completely out of the loop because they've got as many classes as three other races...or imbalance the druid ratio. Why is the former
not
automatically the bigger no-no? If blood elves weren't getting any new classes, you can
bet
there would be rage—regardless of whether or not any ratios got imbalanced.
Are you saying that the Draenei Twist was an example of good implemmentation of new Lore?
Because the dev's already disagree with you.A vocal minority raged very loudly about draenei, despite the fact that the new lore
is
, in fact, better. (The retcon added depth to the entire story.)
As I recall, Metzen was originally making noises about resolving the inconsistency. However, the vocal minority
kept
demanding that draenei be shuffled under the rug, and it's beginning to look suspiciously like the devs are listening to them. Which is downright unprofessional.

I don't disagree with how the retcon added depht to the story but Blizzard has recognized that the implementation was harsh and the retcon too big to be done in a whim. That's odd, considering the retcon was petty as hell and is only believed to be of any consequence on account of being hugely blown out of proportion by fandumb.
Implementing Druidism amongst the Draenei should take a bit of time, just a bit to spread the Kind of like the rediscovery of the arcane by a race that had initially sworn it off?
Thalassian Elves have a history of caring about Nature that is as old as their own kingdom and although the new ways of the Blood Elves have indeed diminished their love for the trees it didn't change for the druidic Farstriders - an entire and ancient order that practices druidic Nature worship. Also, the Blood Elves seem to be reverting their cultural changes post Sunwell which may bring them back to caring for the trees. The Farstriders
aren't
druidic. They're more like rangers (the closest analogy is the hunter class).
It should be noted that unlike many people, I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of blood elf druids. (However, the next time anyone says "draenei warlock," I will hit a puppy with a kitten.)
Now, Draenei Druids would be those few blue guys who adhered to Nature worship and went through all the trouble of learning its ways, which are quite different than those that Nobundo teach. He would be like a
High Elf Paladin of old
or a
troll Light Priest
.
Feel free to correct me anytime though, I'm not very knowledgable of the draenei and can't remember their starting areas quests.Let's just say that there's a lot of interaction with the furbolgs (who
do
seem to be druidic) and the night elves (self-explanatory).
I'm sure that people are complaining about the Draenei not getting a new class more because they are worried that the race end up getting ignored (and atributing this to the early BC QQ* is kinda paranoid to me, really) , after all, they sadly didn't take part into the events of Wrath - but I still have hope that both Silvermoon and the Exodar areas will be updated in a later cata build and the Draenei will get their own time in the spotlight for the expansion - which everyone should get, not only new races/humans and orcs.Call it paranoia if you must, but it all seems a bit
too
"coincidental."
Let's see. First, there's a massive temper tantrum over a really very minor retcon. Metzen apologizes (which he
shouldn't
have done) and promises to find a resolution to it (which hasn't happened).
Later, the Shattered Sun Offensive (half of whom are blue, and none of whom have tusks) are fighting the Scourge on Quel'danas. at the end of BC. And yet, in Wrath, the Alliance doesn't trust a bunch of vindicators to kick nerubian carapace. The only other major draenei presence is among the Argent Crusade, unless one counts Maraad on your Skybreaker being imposing and shiny.
Then Cata is announced. No new class for draenei (and
only
draenei), and apparently no newly fortified Forest Song. It's all a bit too convenient.
If the Draenei were to get a new class it should be rogues IMO. If they can be Hunters their hooves aren't a hinderence to their mobility.I'd
prefer
druids (it seems thematically more appropriate), but stealth draeninjas of either sort would be welcomed. Hell, if the next hero class had a stealth ability...
*one of the most worthless retcon QQs in the history of warcraft, if I might add.Indeed, but also one of the biggest.

Akama's group were Broken as opposed to Lost Ones, they introduced themselves as that during the start of their addition to the Frozen Throne when they met up with the Three Amigos.

I always confuse one another, sorry.
But yeah, I got what you meant; the only Draenei we've seen till that point were the Broken models as opposed to the Spacegoats and the T&A queens, was a bit of a shock.
