Vrem Dartskull:
Vrem stands as six feet five inches, has death-pale skin, and has glowing yellow eyes. He wears dark mail armor and carries a rifle that works well for both sniper and regular combat situations. If that doesn't work, though, he'll switch to using the axe he carries. He has two pets: a plague-dog named Marrow, and an undead egale named Rottalon.
He is judgemental, vengeful, patriotic and overzealous to the cause of the Forsaken, and is loyal only to Sylvanas. He helps to keep the madness of Morec <House of Riverdare> in check, while his own desire to slaughter the living is kept in check by Sithia.
1. Attractiveness (3) - Undeath...
2. Wit (5) - If he tried to be witty, he just might be, but he dosn't care.
3. Intelligence (7) - Not dumb, nowhere near.
4. Physical Prowess (6) - Better with a gun, but not bad
5. Muscular Strength (5) - Rotted, but still strong
6. Attention Span (7) - Deaht to the Scouge, and death to the living!
7. Pain Resilience (10) - Undeath...
8. Lustfulness (1) - Does love help kill the living?
9. Greed (1) - Does money help kill the living?
10. Cash Flow (3) - Rich enough to finance his 'hunts'
11. Arcane Attunement (0) - No magical ability, just a good shot
12. State of Mind (5) - Focused enough to shoot, insane enough to be undead.
13. Bravery (7) - He's faced the horros of the Scourge
14. Marksmanship (8) - 'Nuff said.
15. Temptation Resistance (8) - Unless the Scourge or Living is involved.
16. Resourcefulness (4) - Has links within the Deathguard, but not much beyond that.
17. Recovery (6) - Second tries a charm.
18. Intimidation Factor (7) - As terrifying as any undead.
19. Sense of Humour (0) - Does humour help kill the living
20. Threat Assessment (7) - Cautious and clever.
Score: 100. Had to make a few adjustments, though.

Love the guide. I'll definitely refer to this when I get into roleplaying when I re-subscribe my account.
Thanks!
You should give RPing here on the forum a try. May help your in-game RPing if you work out the personalityies and whatnot of the characters you're using in one of the Open RP's here.
But that's just a sugestion.

I thank you for this guide Patty, it helped me even out Lur quite a bit, although I'm afraid to put my other two characters through . ^^'
anyways, I did enjoy this, I'd like to know what you think of him.
Well, yeah it's good; and I read the wowwiki article as well. However, if you feel afraid to place other characters through it, it would likely be wise to re-evaluate some characteristics of them, and find out exactly what the problem with the character is, and then deal with that by making some alterations to the character; it's fine, I do it
all the time
, and I'm not the only one. Time spent immersing yourself as a character is a good thing, because after a while you can highlight what you feel needs working on. :P

Thanks!Well, if you want to, before subscribing again; you could note down your character ideas on a piece of paper, maybe a brainstorm or bullet points, and then expand on it slowly. Then, when you've got a basic background, run the characters through guides and litmus tests so that you're fully prepared to role play when you return to WoW. I don't actually play a lot of my RP characters, but I try my best to flesh them out anyway. :)
Also, thanks for the feedback. ;D

You know what we should do? We should create a base guide for certain classes/races.

And Patty is working on that already, or did you miss the Night Elf guide he put up a while ago?

There will be more? I meant like a more simplified one using this chart.

Yes, but the next month/month and a half is horribly busy for me; so it won't be continued for some time.
I meant like a more simplified one using this chart.Well...I
could
do that, but I'm not that inventive. I find prose easier for me to write and to make points clear. Although I may bear a chart type thing in mind. :P

Problem is, I never really came up with an acceptable backstory for my character. And for me, character background is extremely important in defining the characteristics of your character. Absolutely! Sometimes, another person's opinion is very enlightening about making a character, and how that character comes across.
Playing a Draenei, I've always justified that my character lost her memory during the crash at the Exodar (I know your guide says memory loss should be avoided, but still... That was beforehand.)Well, not necessarily to be avoided; but amnesia is certainly playing Devil's Advocate a little, because it's been so poorly done so many times. It was kind of a placeholder until I could come up with a somewhat refined backstory. When I finally came up with something I liked, I would simply justify that significant events would trigger memory recalls and eventually she’d remember her previous life or what have you.Right, that's what a lot of people do. However, it can actually be difficult to RP the regaining of memory as compared to a backstory which they are aware of; leaves less room for clichés. ;)
I know it sounds simply horrendous; that’s why I have really been putting off the RPing up until recently. But I'm going to try. Doesn't have to be too in depth I guess.Well, it's hardly
horrendous
, just fairly risky. Although, it can be done very well in some cases, and I think you've got the right kind of mind-frame for pulling it off, judging from the types of posts you contribute, but it really is treading on a fairly thin line.
And as for joing in the forum RP here, I might... But I know me and I would probably contribute very little and would probably stop posting after about a week.Well, timezone differences result in my roleplaying interactions being less frequent than I would like, but I think that RPers who conduct themselves well can contribute to the forum, which
is
a fairly small community. :)

Ayedin the Frozenhearted:
Attractiveness - 0 Undead. Need I go on?
Wit - 3 Not to say he's not witty, he's just too dark a character to dance his words around. He'll make his point, and he'll make it as blunt as possible. However, he is perfectly capable of understanding it.
Intelligence- 8 Being as rational as he is, he uses his intelligence to carefully pick apart every aspect of the situation.
Physical Prowess- 9 He died after about fifteen years of being a powerful paladin, was enhanced by the "attributes" of undeath, and continues to battle with no age. Pretty good.
Muscular Strength- 5 He's a good fighter, and axes are harder to swing than they look, but he isn't the guy who'll kick through the adamantium enforced door and break a black dragons skull with one hand. Undeath did not help.
Attention Span- 9 If he has an objective, he will consider every possible outcome and variable in it before deciding the correct way to go about it. In this, his concentration is near unobtainable.
Pain Resilience- 7 He is undead, but if he is taking damage from something that does actually hurt him, he'll only continue through it if it's practical. You feel pain for a reason.
Lustfulness- 0 Lust? That's so impractical! I can't reproduce, what sense is their in getting attracted to the opposite race.
Greed- 5 Money shouldn't be an ends, but it's means are undervalued by those goody two shoes.
Cash Flow- 2 While the Ashen Verdict supply him with any money he needs, he uses it only on his missions.
Arcane Attunement- 6 Now my nitpickery wants me to make the distinction, but if arcane is generally magic, then yes, as a death knight he has a fair bit of necromancy under his belt.
State of Mind- 5 He's so incredibly rational that he could be considered insane and sadistic.
Bravery- 5 He's practical. If it'll kill him, no sense getting killed. If he can kill it, what harm in killing it?
Marksmanship- 2 You can miss with arrows, but it's bloody hard to miss with an axe. Or an army of ghouls for that matter.
Temptation Resistance- 4 Anything to further his moral goals, so while it's screwed up that he'd sacrifice 16 crusaders to get demons to survive and keep 17 alive.
Resourcefulness- 10 Already got into that. EVERY VARIABLE.
Recovery- 5 Only if it's practical. If I got knocked down the first time, chances are I'm gonna get knocked down the second.
Intimidation Factor- 7 Very cold-hearted, even his allies tend to shy away from him if he's not murdering enemies by their side.
Sense of Humor- 3... Yeah. But it's dark. Unbelievably dark.
Threat Assessment- 10 EVERY POSSIBLE VARIABLE.
Edit: 89? There has to be something wrong here. Let me redistribute.
Edit Edit: There 100.

Salisha, the sadist. (My only true villian, like ever.)
Salisha is certainly
cruel
almost beyond measure(read
Explorations of Northrend
for rather lovely examples.),
lecherous
- only so she has the pleasure of breaking them, but still -
Ambitious
, she wants to become the Lich Queen after all, ruleing alongside her noble King and highly
arrogant
; partially from being a rich quel'dorei in life.
However, she is also
fanatical
and will go to any lengths for her aims,
ruthless
- the more pain, the better - highly
seductive
as she doesn't show many physical signs of undeath, and extremely
resourceful
; she has many tools to choose from.

Marisa "Talah" Blackswallow:
Marisa is
hedonistic, greedy, a compulsive liar
, and slightly
lecherous
. Even with those flaws, she is
disciplined, perceptive, self-controlled
(to an extent), and
wilful
. Standing at around 5 feet 2 inches, with lightly tanned skin and pronounced curves, she is extremely lovely, and uses her looks to get what she wants: the death of those she's assigned to kill. Other then that, she prefers her own company to that of others.
1. Attractiveness (10) - A female blood elf...
2. Wit (6) - Slightly above average to help draw her closer to her targets.
3. Intelligence (5) - Smart enough to reach her targets.
4. Physical Prowess (8) - There's always more to learn, but she spent a lot of time training with the Ravenholdt assassins.
5. Muscular Strength (5) - Average.
6. Attention Span (5) - Average. Focused but always looking for others she's assigned to kill.
7. Pain Resilience (5) - Average. Will break if too much pain is applied.
8. Lustfulness (4) - Only mortal but tends to steer clear of other people, making this factor a little less then average.
9. Greed (0) - Who dosn't simply
love
money?
10. Cash Flow (7) - A lot of money from her contract killings, but, other then that, not that much on average.
11. Arcane Attunement (0) - Feeds off of magical sources, dosn't use them for anything else.
12. State of Mind (5) - Sane.
13. Bravery (5) - Average.
14. Marksmanship (6) - Training puts this slightly above average.
15. Temptation Resistance (5) - Not much ressistance to the right price, but tends to try and negotiate it (I think I might have gotten confused here).
16. Resourcefulness (2) - Loner, mostly. Resouceful, but not many contacts.
17. Recovery (7) - If at first you don't succeed...
18. Intimidation Factor (3) - Not all that scary untill combat starts and her prowess in battle shows, or untill death finally catches up with her foes.
19. Sense of Humour (4) - Enough humor to help her get closer to her targets - if that's what is needed.
20. Threat Assessment (4) - Slightly below average. Good at guessing a person's capabilities in battle, but often makes mistakes.
Scorge: 91 (yay!)
