There was a serious argument in the guild chat, and it went quiet for 10 minutes. I broke the silence with
"Boooork.."
And I was kicked out the guild by the angry one. I whispered him "Wha?" and I realised he just ignored me.
I got reinvited soon later by an officer.

So what have you done to come on someones Ignore list?
Refused to bug the 3 groups of dirt easy mobs in front of the spider boss in azjol-nerub.
No, I don't cheat by exploiting a buggy encounter, violate the CoC, and risk banning my account with six level 80 toons on it, ~25k golds, guildbank with full tabs etc just to save less than 1 minute on one of the shortest, quickest and easiest heroic frost badge runs.
Sheesh, some people are so *expletive* stupid... Sigh!
I'd say you're stupid.
Bugging Hadronox would never,
EVER
get you banned. Not even for 2 minutes. It's like if Blizzard would ban everyone doing OS+3d with the Vanish Tactics (which would be 99% of everyone ever doing OS+3d).
Also, some GM I talked to told me even for more serious exploits (such as finding a way to teleport yourself to GM Island) would at its most end up giving you a 3 hour ban assuming it's your first violation.
I once got ignored for whispering 'Hi' to a fellow I thought I knew. When I later said 'What's up?' I got a reply in all red saying 'X is ignoring you'.

You do realize that nobody has
ever
got in trouble for this?
They're aware if the bug, but have you seen any blue posts saying, "Hey, stop doing this on this fight or we'll break your account."
Didn't think so.
You're a bit too safe/paranoid/scared over your account if you're afraid to exploit that boss.

There's a well known gold seller that constantly spams trade on Moon Guard and I've macro'd their sales pitch (slightly modified) to bug friends of mine on my secret alts. Anyway, I was once whispered by a human gold seller so I spammed the heck out of this guy with my macro. He ended up ignoring me after 15 or so macro'd whispers in 10 seconds.
TL,DR: I was ignored by a gold seller.

Someone I'd never talked to before called me a ^&*!@ and ignored me before I could reply. I still have no idea what that was about.

Did you camp a lowbie or do a battleground before that?
That's usually the main answer.

Haeleos, It is a common strategy for mages(maybe even other classes I'm not sure) to use a lower ranked spell due to cast time differences. Main example would be Frostbolt, talented with 0 haste you can get a rank 1 frostbolt to cast in about .7 seconds iirc. It applies the full slow so its perfect for kiting. Updating isn't worth it as it breaks strategy.

When tanking naxx10 with a feral druid, instead of saying (well, writing, pug, no vent) "taunt" when i wanted him to taunt the big dog boss of me, i had a macro that said "Beast! Obey me! Kill them at once!" (Thats a boss quote from underbog btw).
For some reason the druid did not appreciate that, he somehow thought that i ridiculed him or something, he whined on about it, left raid and ignored me.

I once whispered Hi to a person.
*you been ignored*
No background history before, made me wonder how sensitive a person is if he cannot take a hi lol:)

Ages ago, I was put on ignore for farming herbs in STV on an alt. I was making my way along the northern wall of a ruin to an herb I'd seen. I got to the herb, and clicked on it just as a NE ran up to it from the western end of the wall. She started trying to farm it as well, but I won the herbs. She whispered me with, "You jerk, you saw me trying to get to it! That was my herb!". When I tried to explain that not only did I not see her, but I was also fighting my way to it, I got the message that I'd been ignored. I did a /violin at her and moved on.
I've also been put on ignore by a level 1 character who logged in after a battleground to whisper obscenities at me for killing him in a BG on his main. Apparently he either had or created a level 1 alt on the opposite faction just in case he had to QQ after a match. When I whispered him to tell him to grow a thicker skin if he was PVPing, I found out he already had me on ignore. I put him on ignore in return, and he logged off. He came back on another level 1 character, repeating more obscenities, at which point I reported him for harassment. No idea if anything happened to him. This is one of the reasons why ignore should ignore a players account and not just one character.

I didn't realize there were people paying attention on the other end of those keylogger scam whispers, but apparently there are; I got ignored by one over the weekend.
Those scams have started becoming more proliferate on my server, so I created a reply macro: "Aww, that's awesome - but I don't need any keyloggers today! As you read this, you're being reported for spam. Thanks, and remember, you too can make the world a better place by playing in traffic!"
After sending it to a one of the typical, "You has been selected for special prize" scam whispers on Saturday night, I actually got a response of, "That not very nice." I tried to whisper back, but found I was on ignore.
