there is no possible way people can shape-shift more often than us, except meta warlocks possibly and even more of a strech in spriests.

Blizz hates the Enviroment. All of the woodsy places are getting stol'd by the horde and chopped up, and what do we get? Desolace now has a few trees and ponds.
And then there is this:
The Ice Stone has melted.
The Ice Stone has melted.
The Ice Stone has melted.
The Ice Stone has melted.
The Ice Stone has melted.
The Ice Stone has melted.
And then there is how Deathwing is going to rip up the earth and spew lava and ash in the world.

Overall, i'll be happy to be able to use CC and cast heals at the same time. I'll miss the look of tree form immensely.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned that I think COULD be significant is losing another form to heal from. Currently we have Tree Form and Caster Form that can heal. I FREQUENTLY will drop out of tree form to break a snare, and continue casting heals. The problem with missing ToL is that now to break a snare or root, we'll have to shift to travel form and will be unable to heal while in that form. Might only be a minor issue, but I'm still bummed by it.

Small, while in ToL though you can pop into caster form without a GCD, so Razzem does bring up a valid point, and actually the first truly valid point I have seen as this change being a nerf*. If I get snared by a mage in PvP, I can drop tree form while putting rejuv on myself, and then pop back into tree form when the next frostbolt hits. However, with the new model, you would have that spare GCD. It honestly is a nerf, but overall I think we'll have to see how it plays out. Druids are already known for being too resilient and mobile, maybe this is justified.
*Other things which are either not nerfs or not a result of losing ToL:
Poly immunity was going away anyway, so it's not a valid cry against ToL form.
Aesthetics goes both ways - some want armor, some want tree, some don't care.
At those thinking I work for Blizzard, no I don't. Although I probably think like them. Maybe I should apply.

In the first, you get your rejuv going a GCD earlier (but lack the armor and healing bonuses of tree form for a GCD). In cataclysm, your rejuv is a little later, but you also get a GCDs worth of faster movement (probably not a bad thing if someone's trying to root you) and won't lose any of the healing benefits (because they won't be attached to tree form).
The fact that you get it sooner is the part that was important. If you're in tree form, the first snare you break will be free of GCD (and you'll have armor in caster form if you talented for Imp BS). If you're in travel form, you cannot heal at all without breaking form. With tree form, once you break it, you can enter it whenever and still heal, albeit your heals will be slightly weaker.
It's not a major difference, but it is a difference.

6. But druids are shape-shifters, that's why I rolled the class!
Druids did not get Tree of Life until The Burning Crusade. Therefore, Resto went without it before, it can go without it again. This problem is really the aesthetics of it.
That's exactly the point. I didn't play WoW pre-BC, I rolled my Druid in WotLK and I rolled it knowing that I will have a nice shapeshifted form. I hated the not matching armor when leveling other classes so I mainly played my Druid with the pretty cat form (for leveling) and later the pretty tree form (for raiding).
It is pure aesthetics, I specifically chose this class for its forms because I place value in those aesthetics and now Blizzard is taking that away. That's why I'm &*!@ed.
No, it's not a nerf. Yes, it will be balanced around the new form. But I still want that special look.
If that minor glyph which keeps us in tree form all the time is introduced I'm happy. But without it I'd be very disappointed. I just don't want to look at my armor
I want to be a TREE ! I'll be the happiest druid if they introduce that glyph. I would even use it if it was a major and a not minor glyph.
Who cares about druids anyway... Gnome Priest here i come!

If you are already rooted, switching to travel form will (break break root and activate GCD) then in order to cast anything else you must wait until the travel form GCD is up. Currently, with caster and tree form both capable of healing, if you are already rooted, switching from tree to caster form will (break root) and then you still have the GCD to cast.
Of course, that only works for one root, after that you're in caster form and next time you break root it will require a GCD.
TLDR,
I like my tree, I like shapeshifting. Adding trees in BC was a good move, removing them in Cata is NOT.
TLDR. If you didn't care about the post you're commenting on, why should anyone care about your comment?

Thats fair enough I guess, but by extension that also means that they dont like Moonkin form for ranged dps, Bear form for tanking and Cat form for melee dps as you are required to be in each of those forms to fill each respective role.
Go back and read point 5 in my original post.
