Transition from arms to fury

Alright I just recently started playing again about a week ago. I left right when Trial of the Crusader and all of that nonsense that was being released about 5 months ago. My question to all of you is whether I should switch from my Arms spec to Fury spec to try and increase my DPS. As it stands now in heroics I'm only pulling about 3k DPS and in 10 man ICC that I did last night I was doing about 4.5k, still pretty low compared to everyone else.

My current gear I would be using is everything that is currently equipped in that armory post. My secondary weapon for titans grip is Ironsoul with a +85 AP enchant on it. If I do make the transition what will I need to gem/enchant for? I have been reading threads lately that have showed that Armor Pen. is still the go-to item for fury builds. If anyone has any good reads for me or advice on what to switch and how to spec/put my talents in correctly it would be much appreciated.

I know I have some missing and gone but that is my point, what would I need to gem/enchant into? I haven't put any in yet because I'm unsure.

One of the best things you can do is set your profile here on WowHead and use the "Find Upgrades" option. It works for 'Chants and the like. The primary Stats Warriors crave are Stg, and recently ArPen. I set myself a goal; to gem as much ArPen as I can without letting my unbuffed AP go below 5k. (This is relative to my gear and how I like things, but you should get the jist).
If you have some g, don;t be stingy. Get Epic gems and top tier 'chants. I use Massacre but it is still a valuable chant compared to 'Zerker. I have a prejudice against Proc based 'chants.

You are not in a place where fury would increase your dps.
Read the sticky's and look for how to gem and enchant your gear.
A very easy way to get gems is to run hc's for hybrid gems (orange, purple) and bg's for red gems, or just bg's if you want since you now get a crazy amount of honor from just 1 game.
But also, you are still in the place where you should use your badges to buy t9 and the vendor gear.
If you have gold to spare, get mats and buy some crafted gear, toc crafted are pretty cheap to get now and are very nice still.
Gear from hc's are fine and dandy if you want easy gearscore, but they are badly itemized if you only go for plate. Mix it up a bit, try getting some of the leather gear, ask your guildies to help you run the hc's if you dont feel like taking some random leather users gear.

I went fury to see the actual difference and it appears that I'm pulling slightly more dps with my fury gear now that I found a suitable new weapon. Is heroic strike preferred over cleave in rage dumping however? I specced into the cleave talent as well as using the glyph of cleave for 3 targets but I can't tell if it is better then heroic strike or not when rage dumping. About the gems though, I know I don't need hit gems I just through in some temporarily but I really need to know if I should be gemming strength or armor pen to a certain point.

You had too much to correct and i didn't feel like typing, so i made you a profile.

That should get you on the right path. You are still over hit cap and just shy of the expertise cap so keep that in mind with your future upgrades.
Also, you picked the wrong ashen verdict ring. Exchange it for the agility one asap.

What about the heroic strike vs. cleave part of things though? My rotation right now when there's more then 1 mob is WW, BT, free slams when possible, and then rage dumping in cleave. Single target is about the same except I switch the cleave to heroic strike. As I said I'm glyphed for the cleave but I would be willing to change to heroic strike if it does in fact increase my dps.

For single target, of course it's Glyph of HS > Glyph of Cleave but same logic, mechanic could be used on talent, imp Execute > imp Cleave.
Sorry but part of this really confused me. I understand what you said about heroic strike being better for single target but I'm confused by your cleave explanation.

Alright now that all of that is covered I should point out I recently recieved the 2h Bryntroll in 25 man ICC and decided I'm going to stick with fury for good. Now my main question is if I should focus entirely on gemming strength or if I should gem armor pen.

Do you have an armor pen trinket? Your passive armor pen ist still too low IMO to gem for Arp. Stick with str until you get some gear upgrades and an arp trinket.

Nope, my trinkets are both very basic that need replaced as soon as possible. I already searched for some and see that I can get a good upgrade from the devourer of souls so I will be running that until I get one.
