Okay, I've got something else to try.
Go to
World of Warcraft/Cache/WDB/enUS/
, and delete the file
itemcache.wdb
If you don't delete the wrong file, this should have zero effect on your game whatsoever—but if you're nervous about it, try just moving the file into another directory temporarily.
Once that's done, try uploading again and see if it works.

Hey, I just released version 1.6.7 of the Client. That version provides a better logging system (take a look at the View menu) and also has many bug fixes. I'm not sure it will solve this current issue, but at least it's going to bring me closer to finding the problem.
Please try the new version and copy the log files content somewhere like
http://codepad.org/
, then give us feedback!

Using client 1.6.9.
I try to upload again, with the details in my previous post on this thread, but the files may be slightly bigger this time as it's been months since I was able to upload anything.
The upload fails again, with this new error message:
"An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."
Please note that I have two different account names showing under "Account-specific Data".
Here is the full log for the 3 attempts:

I'm also seeing the following message constantly:
Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time.
Please try again in a bit!
This has been happening for a while. At first I assumed wowhead was temporarily down and so ignored it.
Having looked at the traffic in WIreshark, the connection is being terminated by a server reset for some reason. The first request which does the authorisation is fine but the second request which sends the data ends in a reset.
I'm using 1.7.0 although previously I was using the 1.6.x series. Given that it's a server reset, I'm not sure the version matters.
For completion, I also wiped the Cache directory which (as expected) made no difference.

After updating to 1.7.0 i've been unable to send any data to the servers. It stays stuck on the "Uploading Files (compressed with gzip)..." part, then times out.
Running windows XP SP3, last windows update was over the weekend, and it worked perfectly till the client updated to 1.7.0 last night.

I'm having a similar problem. Every time I start the client it does an update and says 4 files were updated. Then when trying to upload data it gets stuck at 73% and eventually says unable to process your upload at this time.
Running Windows 7 and the client worked fine until recently. Hopefully a fix is in the works, I'd like to continue contributing to the site!

Same issue here, everything was fine until 1.70
The percentage it stops at keeps going down, I suspect because more data is accumulating.
Windows 7 (64 bit)
Live & Beta installed, both under the users/public folder chain.
Deleting the itemchache file does not help.

I have also been having the exact same problem since 1.7.0. The client is constantly updating 4 files when it starts and I found the percentage it stops at increased from 82% to 97% after deleting the itemcache, despite uploading regularly so the files probably aren't that big.
However, on my profiler page the data is updated as quests I completed yesterday are showing as completed, but of course this data is still then waiting to be uploaded again the next time I run the client.

I'm getting the same message as Midnightrose with the constant 4 files update at logon. Mine also stops the upload process at approx. 86%. Mine is set to automatically upload when WoW closes.
Win7 x64 all the latest clients.

This also looks like a similar issue to
this one
. We're investigating.

Version 1.7.0 here. First it didn't upload files at all, reporting some server-related issue, now it gets stuck at 66% of 96.6 kb and the following error message is displayed:

Client is always updating itself (changing 4 files).
