well I can't get to the link but compare what spells you cast and what he cast and then look at overhealing.
I run with another druid a lot and he is always first on healing and me second.
But he spams a LOT of WG and that is where he outheals me..BUT his overhealing is about 30% over mine as well.
you do outgear him BIG TIME and I hope someone can cast some light on it and explain how to improve. My buddy and I are almost the exact same gear so it more of style than anything else.
ps I don't think either of us use LB much if at all.
I did notice one thing he has 4Pt9 and those crits add up and if he had a good uptime idol he would be a lot stronger as well. Comments on my stupid thoughts is always welcome

then throw around more Rejuvs on raid following where the damage is coming.
Does that mean you throw out Rejuv after the people are damaged? If you'll look at his meters, you'll see that most of the time he has more overhealing done than you. From my experience, if a person HoTs up the raid before damage goes out, then their heals will have a better chance at actually helping. This is also a good way to get overhealing done very high.
If you throw out Rejuvs after they've already taken the damage, then they have to wait 3 more seconds to actually be healed by it. If you can predict what group will be damaged next, and you roll HoTs over them, then you have a better chance of one of those heals happening 1-3 seconds earlier than it ever could have before.
However, if this is not the case, and you do roll HoTs on the raid, then never mind. I just know that when I put Rejuv on several people (like 10+) before the damage goes out, then at least some of my targets won't be sniped before i can get some heals on them.
Another possible explanation is his use of Nourish. Particularly on the Lady Deathwhisper fight where about 50% of his total healing is through Nourish. Heals like Nourish (fast cast time, spammable) are the bane of HoTs. Where you primarily heal via Rejuvination, he often casts Nourish and just snipe heals targets.
I don't know if any of this is true, but imo, you need to roll the Rejuvs before damage goes out. He is casting Nourish which, unlike HoTs, always heals the target when it casts. Many HoTs have a wait time before the first tick which makes them ineffective at healing spike damage. Whereas Nourish can be casted right after that Frostbolt Volley and depending on who he targets, heal them for the full amount, or at least closer to 100% than your Rejuv will.

Oberon I have to argue slightly with Clique automatically being better. Specifically claiming that the two steps cause issues :P
If you click your next target while the GCD is spinning you lose nothing :P

Well I suppose that's true. It is possible the do two-step healing just as effectively. But it's certainly a bit more to think about, and most people will find the one-step healing (either with Mouseovers or with Clique) a little faster.
That said, given that the OP has already admitting to being something of a reactionary healer, I'd guess he would fall in the category of people who'd benefit from a one-step process.
Very true not saying there are benefits to two-step over one step. Just bringing up that two step is viable without Clique. It also promotes planning your heals ahead of time as well :P
P.S. Clique annoys me for some reason I just cannot stand it. No technical issues or peeves or anything just don't like it. And yes it
IS
very helpful for those that do like it.

- Grid
- I MOUSE click on the target in my grid window, and my heals are binded on 1-5 which my hand is on.
- I don't use Clique yet, maybe that would help.
Yes. That can actually make a huge difference.
You should either learn to use mouse-over macros or get Clique and use modifier keys.
Basically your process takes two steps (click the target, press the spell key) whereas both of those other options only take one (hover then activate the macro or click the target with the appropriate modifier key down). Over the course of literally hundreds of spellcasts, this is going to make a huge difference in the speed at which you can get your spells out.
One hand on the mouse, for targeting/mouseover people in grid, the other hand on 1-5 (or whatever keybinding you want)... Question: how do you do when you need to move? remove keybind hand and go to AWSD, or use the mouse for moving?
keybinding is great and all for getting the castspeed up, but ive never found a good way to be able to run & heal while using it (and running while healing is one of the best things about being a druid).
Only way I can see it working is using a multi-button mouse and keybing button 1 to one spell, 2 to another etc, having a modifyer for when you run out of buttons. But I HATE modifiers
The best addon for druidhealing Ive found so far is Rewatch, where you have separate timers for all raidmembers for each hot you can cast. Mouseclicking the timer cast the spell, and theres a little bar under the timers with swiftmend, remove curse/poison, HT & Nourish. Having sepatate timers for all 25 people in a raid takes up a bit of screenspace, but I can do all healing nessecary with just the mouse, leaving one hand free to controll my character with. Check it out

Bind strafe to a and d instead of turn. Just press one of the movement keys for running (strafe is fine) and keep healing with the other fingers. Works fine for me.
@OP:
Listen to Oberon, his breakdown of your mistakes is perfect. Especially mouseover macros, stopping with the Nourish spam and picking up Revitalize are important. One thing to add for me: Spam your keys. You do not want to waste any time between GCDs, make sure the next Rejuvenation cast goes off right away by hammering the button when the GCD is about to finish. I've seen as much as 20% difference in healing done because of people not pressing their buttons fast enough.
