Why does Everybody hate DK tanks?

Alot of the time, since dks start at 55, people tend to think that we do not know our class. They think we don't know how to play and no amount of actual live proof will change their minds.
Every DK has his horror stories. Mine is this:
the other day I logged on my decently geared DK tank. A new pally tank recruit to our pretty casual guild started talkin some smack about something and I told him to just shut up. He then goes off and says "shut up mr.dk. No one likes dks. What's your gearscore?" after about 20 seconds of me not replying since I was looking up both his and mine one wow heroes. He says "yeah that's what I thought. Shut up" I then post my wowheroes and gearscore addons gearscores in chat and then post his. On wowheroes he is about 500 gs below me and on the addon he's about 1k below me. Anyways, he obviously hated DKs and ended up getting booted due to his jerkoffiness (definately not a word and if it ever was I spelled it wrong.)
edit: forgot to add that he had 10k less hp than me and he stacked stamina just like I do
that's my horror story. Just needed to vent a bit. Maybe this thread will become more of a "post your DK haters horror stories" kinda thread? I'd read it :-/

well i feel the main reason people hate dks is because due to it's popularness when dks were the OP tank...everyone made one. unfortunately not everyone figured out how to play one well. We probably have the worst ratio of good players to bad players of any class. We also take the most dmg in heroics of all the other tanking classes.
Alot of dks hit outlands with their starter blues...put on frost presence and find they can tank just fine in their dps blues (granted they figure out how to hold agro). all the way up to lvl 68 when they head into northrend and try to tank heroics they realize that wearing all that dps gear no longer counts as tanking gear. Utgarde keep is a disaster for most starting dk tanks. they take alot of dmg even with tanking gear on. i've healed the first few instances in northrend when i lvled my druid and dks by far take the most dmg in UK and nexus with similar gear. Even if you know how to play a dk and your remaking one you'll still take a good chunk of dmg and the healers usually complain.
My horror story is of H HoR. Almost every time i queued up into H HoR i ended up tanking. i'm specced for aoe tanking due to my main spec being unholy dps. My GS at the time was 4900 and the ICC 5mans had just come out. Everytime i got into a run for H HoR i got a healer wearing a few epics and the rest were greens and blues. Unfortunately this guy has guildies that pulled him thru so he's done it before and claims he's healed it before. probably with a paly tank that far outgeared me. We do the corner strat as most people do and on wave 4 the healer just can't keep up. It's not me that's taking all the dmg. With the merc shadow stepping and poisoning people and the mage flamestriking and everyone taking dmg the healer runs out of mana even with me chain popping defensive CDS/trinkets the whole 4th wave, and of course i die. Unfortunately instead of saying the healer isn't geared enough they chalk it up to dk tank sucking and i get kicked from the group.

One year ago every realm was overrun with freshly started DKs. It appeared every huntard and rouge had switched to deathtard. There has been a shakeout since. But the class is still tainted. Get it, "tainted" HAHAHAHA I'm so funny!

can't wait for cataclysm and the change to block....yay no more healers crying that you take more dmg then a war/paly >_>

Ah im glad someone made this thread I was absolutly getting well just gahh with people. I like doing dungens on my DK but i dont tank Ill take the damage cause im better at that. And im always passing on the good stuff, unless it gives me the option of need then ill ask for it. I do my best help out the tank and i took the pull function out the main bar since people kept complaining i was pulling when i wasn't. But frig What the heck people its a game why you have to be so cruel. Ive only been playing my DK 2 weeks granted(got to 75) and i like questing, but ya know that can get tiresome so just dungen...i go on my hunter and people gotta be #$%^s about it too. Ive gotton friends around my town to check my stuff, and Ive got the right skills, armour, pets..i i dont get why people have to be such babies bout it.
