Ok, I recently decided to return to WoW and retake my 70
enhancement
shammy. Not having played with a shaman for more than 2 years I feel now a lil' bit confused. Now we have
Lava lash
, this
maelstrom thingy
and the
wc3 wolfies.
According to EJ I should go WF/FT. (the off-hand has to be slower, right? ) because is better than WF/WF
We now have
Improved Stormstrike
, does this mean that I no longer need my water shield on? Should I now go with Lighting Shield?
And then I found this:
Glyph of Stoneclaw Totem
; so I suppose this is a must in PvP. How much damage does it absorb? Then, in any PvP build I should have 2/2 in
Earth's Grasp
, shouldn't I? What about
Earthen Power
?
About Lava Lash, Maelstrom and the wolves. Could you please give me some info about how to use them.
Any enhancement PvP build?
Thanks in advance ^^
There is a thread....there is a thread...there is a thread... I wonder if it's stickied under Helpful threads...

Actually there isn't. The only PvP guides I noticed in the stickies were
two
of them and they were
both
for Restoration.

I changed your list to numbers since it's easier to answer by. I'm not a hardcore PvPer but maybe I can give you some answers.
For PvE, you are right that WF/FT is win. However since most of your questions revolve around PvP, WF/
Fb
is recommended as well as taking the talent
Frozen Power
. You can see how well these two would work together.
Correct. No self-respecting Enhancement shaman uses Water Shield anymore. Lightning Shield is the way to go, especially now that we also have
Static Shock
.
Glyph of Stoneclaw Totem is a must-have for PvP. I couldn't give you any numbers on how much damage it absorbs, but most players treat Stoneclaw Totem as an "oh sh*t" button (similar to your pvp trinkets) when you're sure to have a big amount of incoming damage. For the most part, Earthbind totem is used as your major earth totem.
Earthen Power
is a major reason for that. Each pulse with a 100% chance to remove your snares as well as snaring enemies? Yes please.
Lava Lash
is considered one of our weakest abilities. It's priority on our "rotation" is very low. It's something to use when everything else is on cooldown mostly. It's just a free instant offhand attack.
Maelstrom Weapon
is amazing. When you hit the enemy with a melee attack (ie auto attack, stormstrike, lava lash) you gain a stack which decreases the casting time of one of the abilities listed. When it reaches five stacks, it becomes an
instant
spell. When it reaches five stacks, it's takes the highest priority on our "rotation", meaning use it as soon as possible. The reason for this is to keep it constantly stacking. Once it reaches five stacks, it stays at five stacks and all those hits that you make are "wasted" towards building more stacks. Instant attacks are great because they don't get in the way of our auto-attacks and chances to proc Windfury, etc. Since you'll be pvp'ing, you can also use your maelstrom weapon to cast an instant
Hex
, which is the CC Blizzard finally gave to Shaman. However, you learn that at level 80.
Feral Spirit
is another amazing ability. It summons two wolves who attacks also restore health to you. They damage scales with your AP. They are great to cast when you want to burst down the enemy or if you find yourself taking way too much damage. Once cast, they are classified as pets so you can actually control them with a pet action bar.
Like I said before, I'm not a hardcore PvPer so
this build
is only an example of what I would use. Others may disagree with some points here or there. However, the basics of enhancement pvp include:
Elemental Fury
,
Imp Ghost Wolf
,
Frozen Power
,
Earthen Power
.
I hope some of this helped. Anyone else please correct me if I'm wrong or if there's anything more to add.
