it could be called summoning and requires mats from all three gathering pofessions sacrificed to different deities. it could create random unique patterns for other professions and random unique BOE's for all slots, among those would be heirlooms as well as max level epics. it could be the main source for heirlooms, and make heirloom patterns for other profs as well. on top of that, minipets, mounts, consumable portals that let you choose the destination city and a handful of cooldown abilities, like summon different combat pets with different effects. (instead of lame static bonuses)
hell kiddo, why not name it "God-mode" profession? this thing u've imagined gives you pets, mounts, portals to every zone (making the uniqueness of mage-portals useless) print patterns for all professions, max lvl epics that not even go BOP; nope, BOE so u can profit more from it.
sorry kiddo but this kinda profession WOULD SCREW balance royaly.
the idea of a profession is that it's not so "l33t" as to make it stupid not to get it, but that each offers a single benefit.
already to enhance your character there is a profession to craft gems to buff your items, enchanting to further buff your items, and inscription to buff your powers.
Archeology is a profession to buff your talents and customize your character, and being a secondary profession you won't have to sacrifice a primary slot for it.
sorry but your idea is EXTREMELY wrong in so many levels...................

Arch gives pets, mounts, tabards, items, gear, and Guild-based rewards as well heh. You've taken the things 'hate' about Archaeology and put it into something else..... consider that for a moment.

i see where you are coming from... but its not a crafting profession and by definition, secondary professions are not as powerful or broad as primary, if only for the fact that everyone can get them on top of their two main professions.
Well that's the thing; everyone's is going to be different depending on how much or how little they put into it: My hunter's will be completely different from my Deathknights, or my Warlock so on and so forth, as each class will get different buffs/stats/abilities from them. The Path of the Titans is also meant to expand on the new Talent Trees and assist them as a secondary tree. And like I said; the pets the mounts the tabards and the guild stuff is going to be quite interesting as well; I know I'll be spending time out in 'new' Azeroth hunting for the ruins while I reacquire the new Explorer and Loremaster heh.

I revel in the idea of digging through the ancient lore of warcraft, with a pick to a stone rather then a cursor to a link.
