(( Yeah. Not my best work, but at least its here, I suppose. ))
- “This is not good,” Kalistra said as she and her two allies looked down at the base in the – for lack of a better word – canyon below them.
- There were possibly hundreds of the same creatures that had attacked them below, and they were erecting structures. Not housing, not barricades, only temples. Or at least that’s what it looked like anyway, each of the structures they raised had clear-cut signs of being of religious nature.
- “I tink we’ve seen enough,” Soth said, “time ta warn da Blightcaller.”
- Bream nodded. “Indeed, he’ll want to know about these things.” The three turned away from the scene and started back towards the Shadowed Spire. Before Soth and Bream had taken more than five steps, though, Kalistra screamed.
- The troll and tauren spun around to see the blood elf struggling against what appeared to be a massive brain with moth-like wings, a single eye on a long stalk and multiple tentacles sprouting from it. The creature was wrapping said tentacles around Kalistra who, despite her best efforts, couldn’t escape.
- “Don’t just stand there!” the elf yelped. “
HELP
!”
- Soth fired an arrow at the creature, but it used Kalistra as a meatshield, and the arrow instead struck the elf’s shoulder. A screech that was only audiable in their minds echoed out, no doubt a signal for assistance. Scowling, Soth tried again and again, but both times the brain-thing used the elf to defend itself.
- “I’m not a
pincushion
!” Kalistra yelled. “Try something else! And heal me while you’re at it!”
- Soth grinned. Of course. She started to focus. The troll forced her own life essence out of herself and into the blood elf, mending the wounds she’d unintentionally caused. After that she began to drain the life from the creature.
- Another mental screech pierced through their minds as the creature’s body began to shrivel and dry up. Moments later it fell to the ground, a lifeless husk.
- “Thanks,” Kalistra said, pulling the arrows out of her. “Next time try having better aim.”
- “At least you’re still in one piece,” Bream said. “Who knows what that thing would have done to you had we chosen not to intervene.”
- “Enough,” Soth said, “we need ta warn Nathanos.”
- …
- After a quick and fortunately uneventful walk back to the Shadowed Spire, the three rangers knelt before Nathanos and gave their report.
- The Blightcaller slumped further into his chair. “By the Shadows.” He seemed lost in thought for many, many minutes.
- Finally he seemed to awaken from his daze and shook his head. “I’ll ponder this and decide the next course of action required. In the meantime I want you to take some drastic measures for me. Many of my rangers have gone mad and attacked one another and us! Kill them, and find whatever’s causing this!”
- “Yes sir!” the three saluted the Ranger General of the Dark Quiver and then returned to the ground.
- Once they were gone the dark ranger Ariel – the Ranger representing Silvermoon on the counsel and Ranger Captain of the Dark Quiver – approached the Ranger Forsaken Ranger. “Nathanos, you don’t think that we might be dealing with…
them
, do you?”
- “I’d prefer if we weren’t sister, trust me on that. But I can’t see any other feasible explanation.”
- “But, we scouted the whole of the grove before claiming it,” Arield continued. “There was nothing, no creatures like those described, and most certainly no canyon with a small town in it. How could they have constructed something like that without our notice?”
- “I’m not sure,” Nathanos said, “but you know as well as I do the nature of these things, the legends and myths behind them. They’re the stuff of nightmares, my parents used to tell me stories of them to scare me into behaving.”
- He chuckled darkly before his expression became serious again. “And if we
are
fighting the Old Gods, I truly doubt we will be able to win.”

First; sorry about the lack of a Page 7 lately.
Second; Could anyone help me with my troll accents? For me they're difficult to write.

Shoot.
Edit : I may be going out for an hour and a half, if I don't respond to you now I would've thought of good accents while I'm out... my thoughts keep drifting to this God-forsaken forum anyway :P
