I dont know if this is something that has been brought up before. I looked back 4 pages and couldnt find anything so I'll give it a go.
If this is something that is brought up frequently, just let this one selfdie its natural death. :)
Also, if I'm not using wowhead to its full extent and similar features already exists please let me know.
Here is my idea.
I have my account logged in more or less all the time. Come here during gameplay to check up on questlines, compare items and all that. Thats grand, fine and dandy. I love wowhead for it. Its easy and accessable with my character profiles.
What I would like though is to set up a default character that, when I'm browsing around marks the current item/quest/spell/whatever as used/completed(or not)/learnt/anything depending on what type of page I'm looking at.
For example: Looking at
Royal Scepter of Terenas II I would like to have a quickbutton to compare to my currently equipped weapon. This could for example be in the field with the breadcrumb description, far out to the right, a small icon with tooltip info and a "Compare item" link directly which would take me to the compare page with the two items set up already.
Looking at quests could simply be a green tick or a red X before the questname in the description field (the one to the right with the questgiver name and such). This would greatly improve my overview of completed quests in a longer questline.
This is of course just a basic outline and I have no real idea if this is possible or feasable to do either technically (database performance good enough?) or just purley from a design point of view(dont want to clutter up the screen and such).
I just feel this could improve the wowhead functions to integrate the profiler more in the normal browsing. I love the profiler, but as it is now I have to go back and forth between normal browsing and the profiler to compare quests/items and such.
Just and idea anyway.
