if you don't want to use your imp, this one is probably for you, but i highly suggest going affliction since it has no downtime.

Leveling a lock in Destruction is a pain in the ass. Lots of downtime and i would strongly reccomend Leveling Affliction to 80 then switching once you hit 80. Thats what i did. Helped level faster, can still pvp and run like hell if needed, next to no down time, and simple.
That being said, if you plan on leveling as destruction with no one changing your mind, here are my personal thoughts.
3 points in suppression are not needed while leveling. If you level properly your quests will be yellow and the $%^& you are attacking green. So the 3 points there wont really make a difference unless you are doing dungeons more then quests.. if you find you are missing way too much, then by all means pick it up. but gear wise you should be fine.
Shadowburn. Not really needed. You can use that point and put it in Imp. HS for the added healing to yourself. more health = more Mana from lifetap without dying.
If not using suppression, might wanna max out Demonic Aegis. buff to the shields for extra damage or armor would help. And remember to swap shields when needed!
again, if you are aiming to get to 80 quick, i would strongly suggest going affliction and drain tank your way to 80. it is Much faster then destruction when you can easily take on 4+ mobs and not worry about dying(as quick)
my 2 cents..

Leveling Destro can be a study in pain 'til you hit level 60. At least, fiftyish. This, because you can't fully take advantage of being Destro until you have certain spells, either by being at a certain level, or by speccing into certain talents.
You won't be able to get Conflagrate until at least level 40, and that's if you put every single talent-point into Destro. You won't get Incinerate until level 64, and that's just the way Blizzard set it up. These are both staples of the Destro spec. You would basically have to make do with Shadow Bolt for a long while. (It might be considered akin to a Priest trying to level on the Holy spec, all the way up, without the LFG tool.... questing all the way)
Also, you have a lot more downtime... many people call Destro the "wannabe mage" spec. Except, you can't make water and food for yourself, so you'll have to constantly be buying both. And sitting down. Get caught by a mob walking by, and that's another spirit-run back to your corpse. Affliction, on the other hand, basically has very little downtime. You are constantly topping yourself off. In fact, except for heavy, drawn-out battles, you will be the only spellcaster (DPS or healer) who isn't sitting down to drink in an instance run.
Once I went to Outlands and switched to Destro? I didn't look back, until fairly recently. I had been dying much more often with Affliction. Changing up to Destruction allowed me to kill stuff much more quickly, and I suddenly had fewer deaths.
I love Destruction. I just wouldn't recommend it as a leveling spec until at least 60.
Affliction is considered "the consummate Warlock spec" for Warlocks. Affliction will teach you how to manage your DOTs and curses well, and how to juggle targets. You can kill several mobs at once. It's a beautiful thing. And the switch from Affliction to Destro really isn't all that painful, once you've mastered those basics. Demonology is also an arguably useful spec to use to level up. Much stronger pets. But you also may use your minions as a crutch, and not learn to pop your spells out as quickly as you would otherwise. (Which means, you might be doing more poorly in the end-game, without having developed these skills)
Comparatively, by level 41, you will be able to have every critical talent in Affliction, down to Shadow Mastery and Improved Felhunter. Or, with Demonology, you could get all the way down to Demonic Empowerment.
