Was there a point to this? Are you at least going to supply pictures?

Yeah, I've had that "What the heck am I carrying?" moment before as well. Definitely not expected, especially if you forgot you were jousting last thing before logging.

Yeah I've had that. I think it was a night after I came back from having several beers, probably played around on wow then went to bed, woke up.. and found my orc shaman in a bunny suit and ears, forgetting I had put that stuff on, lol.
And Funden, not every post needs to have a 'point'.

He could at least provide pictures so we know what he is talking about, as I have never seen this before.

One of my earliest 'wtf' moments in regards to gear was back in tbc then I was raiding kara with my old guild. I died and ressed at once point before Maiden, got back to the group to see they were all naked, and I kept asking 'why are you naked your all die!' lol.
Early bug pre rep to gnomish x-ray spec.

It was very odd for me too. What was really weird is when i logged into my account and my rogue had a MASSIVE casters staff in his hand. It was a quest item from on of the volcanic zones in Azeroth that i hadn't dequipped. Took me awhile to remember it.
Rogues can't use staffs...

This.
As a Rogue, I find this facade appalling.

love it when people who think they know everything have to facepalm themselves for missing something.

I think it the was the torch thingie....
It's for a quest. It looks exactly like a staff, but it isn't classified, so anyone can wield it for the quest. It does no damage, and you can keep it after the quest is done.
Edit:
Here
it is.
Well, I do believe you just owned them.

He disproved us after giving no evidence to suggest that it was a quest item equippable in the first place.

I got the
Bouquet of Red Roses
yesterday, two-manning Utgarde Keep with my Pally wife (I'm a Warlock) to kill Kelseth. (I just couldn't get the RNG to be nice to me, in the bazillion runs I'd made in dungeons where the flower bouquets drop!)
So? I got the achievement. Looked at the roses in my inventory...
WTF do I do with these?
Well, the item description says, "
Use: Shower a nearby target with a cascade of rose petals! (5 Min Cooldown)
"
Okay! *click*
...
...
Nothing!
*shrug*
Queue up for LFG.
I'd gotten through three dungeon runs before I looked and found out I'd been running them with roses in my off-hand. (I'd thought my DPS had dropped a bit!)
