Hey wowhead
Isnt BV quite overrated in the Item Comparison? I would put it rather low and put hit and expertise higher? Whats your thought?

Yeah it certainly looks like it. But then again, perhaps that's because the weight scales are tailored mostly for beginning tanks, who will be doing heroics rather than raids. And in heroics, block is very powerful (while in raids it's quite weak). The whole problem Blizzard has had with block is that no matter how you balance it, either it will suck for raids or be totally OP for heroics etc. - or even to some extent both simultaneously.
Still, I don't see how 189 SBV, 17 strength and 4 dodge rating can make the helm 11% better than the one with 37 stamina, 22 strength, 84 armor, 5 defense rating, 77 parry rating, plus some resistances (mostly irrelevant). Or 15% better than the helm with 23 stamina, 84 armor, 27 defense rating, 31 dodge rating, and 69 expertise rating. Even for a heroic tank those numbers should be adjusted, and for a raid tank they should be more like reversed.

Bump as i really think the weight scales should be looked into..

Use the Prot Tank weight scale, it lists the helm in the opposite order. Maybe the warrior weight scale is off.

I'm guessing you mean the
paladin
prot tank weight scale? Warrior tanks are prot too :P
It just rates agility far too highly, but I guess that's not much of a problem since it's almost never found on plate gear now.
PS: Why does the paladin scale weight dodge so much higher than defense?

unfortunately, prot weight scales almost fail by definition. there are too many factors to figure in, and the scales aren't even updated as the game changes.
the way they seemed to come up with the scales was pretty bad too - just ask the community for their opinion and then implement the consensus. of course, if the paladin community thought differently than the warrior community..... oh, wait.
