Holy spec is the most ineffective priest damage spec for leveling between 70 and 80. What you're showing is a Disco spec, which is far better. I would consider
Pain Suppression
an excellent talent for you to take for soloing elite mobs for quests. Since your primary nuke will probably be Smite, you should really up that spell crit for Holy with
Holy Specialization
over Improved Renew. Here's a slightly modified spec for you to use:

This is starting to put points into Divine Fury to help your smites be slightly faster, which is much better for leveling. Eventually, you'll want to put points into Divine Aegis and Improved Flash heal, though prob imp FH first.
When you hit 80 you should just make it a straight Disc healing spec.
Or... you could get a dual spec and level up as Shadow. ;-)

I've never used Penance before... the talent description is a little confusing. Does it channel 375 damage for 2 seconds? Or does it only do a total of 375 damage? Sorry for this noob question. it'll hit the target each time for the damage indicated for a total of 3 hits if uninterrupted.
Also, what level do you think I should get before entering dungeons in Northrend with this Disc spec? You can probably go now without an issue, but this also depends on your tank.
Is the disc spec better for healing than a holy spec or is it simply a matter of healing style?
Both specs are fine for healing, but in your case, Disc will be far more forgiving for lack of gear and experience.

Lvling as disc is okay, but if you have mana issues when pulling many mobs. With shadow you get healed through damaging spells, pull a pack, put vampiric touch and shadow word pain on them, disperse and watch them die one by one.
sorry kiyommii, slight correction here. most shadow priests at lvl 70+ are using Mind Sear to take down groups of mobs, yet mind sear just happens to be the one shadow spell that WONT give back health. The strategy you put forward would work for the health regen, but I would have doubts that it is really any more mana efficient/time efficient than the disc route. Admittedly you do just get to "watch them die" like a warlock....doesnt mean they die quickly. The parallel disc strat would be
PWS self, penanace one, SWP each, Pain supression self, HF/Smite one down, PWS self, penance and HF down next, refesh SWP's.....
or my personal favorite , Power infusion self , Holy nova x100 or until dead.....
Maybe its because I dont have a feel for how much regen you get from dispersion...but yeah, not buying that Shadow lvling past 70 is all that better than disc lvling.
OH to the OP, Try healing a dungeon or two, if you can get through it at all, and you can stomach it, just lvl by dungeons, simplifies the demands you have on your talent tree and also will make lvling go by quicker.
