Melee DPS expertise question

I cannot seem to find what the dodge chance is of an 82 mob (heroic boss) against the attacks of a melee DPS from behind. My melee DPS char is about to hit 80 and I want to be prepared for how much hit and expertise I need to have. I've concluded that I'll need 197 hit rating, but cannot determine how much expertise I'll need. Can anybody help? Thanks.

DPS will need a total of 6.5%, or 26 expertise, or 213 expertise rating, to avoid Dodges on yellow attacks against a raid boss. This is without talents, such Arms Warrior's Weapon Mastery, that reduces chances to be dodged.

It's 5% + 0.5% per level
Heroic bosses (82) are 2 levels above you, meaning they have (5% + 2x0.5%) = 6% chance to dodge.
That's a total of 24 expertise or 197 rating before talents or glyphs.
As for hit, it's 5% + 1% per level
Heroic bosses (82) are 7% or 230 rating before talents or racials.

Even more info than I asked for. Much appreciated. Thank you.

This is definitely incorrect for Hit, and possibly for Expertise, though I'm not 100% on that.
Hit is not 1% per level, as the formula changes once the target is more than 10 defense skill above you. For differences <= 10 (i.e. level 82 mobs), it's 0.5% per level. From 82 to 83 adds an ADDITIONAL 2% miss, for a total of 8% (5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 2).
I presume Exp behaves similarly, but I could be wrong -- I couldn't find any verification in either direction in the short time I looked.

Ah, sorry, I was mixing up Spell hit and melee hit rates where it's 4, 5, 6 and 17% (going up by 1%)
Expertise is fine,

So I would want 197 hit rating to be hit capped at 80 against an 82 heroic boss as I originally anticipated, eh?

Yes, mistake on my part.

Touche, I wasn't paying attention to hit or the date, I just picked up whatever from EJ to dispute the 19 expertise.

Well now I'm about to start DK tanking as a frost DW. Again, just 80 heroics. I know the hit rate needs to be much higher, but does the expertise cap go up too? Or is it calculated per weapon, thus making the transition from 2h to DW no different other than things like racial bonuses with mixed weapons?
