Ok I'll be lvling a goblin shaman in Cat. And I was wondering which spec is better to lvl with. From what I have read and from what my guild's have sad Enhanced is the way to go.
From what I understand Shamans can't dw till around 40 or so. So the question is what weapon is a good starter for them thats boa. I have the shoulders, chest, and trinkets.
I was thinking about getting the mace and then get a random board till I can dw but I wasn't sure if there was any other better choice to pick from?

This is kind of a tough question to answer considering you're asking about what leveling will be like in an expansion we really have no clue about. Class changes happen so often (with patches, hotfixes, etc) that it's difficult to say which spec would be best. Water Shield was originally only available at level 62, making Enhancement the best for leveling. It's now a level 20 ability making Elemental Combat perfectly viable. Especially with Cataclysm and all the major changes that are coming with it (gear stats, talent trees reworked, etc), again there's just simply no way of knowing.

Cataclysm is ages away and will completely change the game.
Any information you are given now will most probably be completely useless in Cataclysm.
Start worrying about it when it's out, not now.

Considering the new LFG system, Resto is really viable. I managed 14 - 30 in about 3 days. And i do pretty good at it too, at level 20 you get 3 tools to help you heal efficently: Lesser Healing Wave, Healing Stream Totem and Water Shield. Then at 30 you get Earthliving Weapon and Reincarnation, which should be glyphed asap to help save money and grief. (irregardless of spec, imo. It's a minor glyph, meaning once per 30 minutes you get a free raid wipe recovery.)
Plus, it's something that shouldn't really be vanishing entirely next expansion. The Tree may change a lot, but the fact that shamans can heal won't.
And if you can find a good Paladin to Tank (I'm sure lots of people would want to do Tauren Paladin) then that's a bonus, because Judgement of Light can help you a lot in by periodically healing the paladin. Granted, it won't be mana efficient for the paladin exactly until you get Mana Spring totem, but it works.
Those were my observations on doing a few instance runs in the past few days. hope that isn't as random inane babbling as i think.
