ok. for starters
your rotation. is wrong
if you spec right. serpent sting = more damage
and black arrow already means more damage so that = better
serpent lasts ages.. so doesnt need to be refreshed. the more black arrows = better. because more black arrows = more lock & loads = more explosives = more PEWPEW.
try and keep an instant cast like serpent/multi after explosive. otherwise u loose a whole second out of the three second tic.. which does affect alot of huntards... and IMO.. its better to use a steady shot. instead of waiting for .5 a second :)
survival =
multi shot NOT aimed shot. aimed = mm and pvp survival. get rid of it
glyphs. uve glyphed wrong
a boss is onyl @ 20% for so long. your better off FARR better off with glyph of steady shot instead of it.. youl notice ur dps increase.
take out aimed. and make hunting 3/3. :) and use multi shot. not aimed... it hits harder anyways for survival
You've somehow contradicted half the things that have been standard SV staples. Multi-Shot is not affected by Sniper Training, 6% can really add up. I'm not
quite sure how it would hit "harder" for SV either, since they both have the same damage addition, MS only does more damage on multi-targets.
More Black Arrows = more LnL, so
Resourcefulness = more Black Arrows.
The rotation is something that has been debated, but for me Explosive Shot first does the most DPS. Spreadsheet has them pretty close though. Don't call somebody "wrong" because they use one of the very credible alternatives please, especially when that alternative gives many people more DPS.
Steady Shot is the weakest shot we have, and adding it inside a LnL is pretty much a loss. Buffing it with the Glyph does not do much better.
Glyph of SS vs Glyph of Kill Shot, again, much debated. So close in DPS as to be negligible.
Now I am not a "just read the spreadsheet" hawk, but when I start making spec/glyph/rotation changes in there and notice 50-100 DPS losses I start to look at other options.
Moral of the story OP, take a look at the
spreadsheet and play with things, make sure you put buffs in before you start making changes though. 5K for your gear is a little low, but you really have to look at the buffs you have and that you can count on. For example, I myself...
Almost never run with a Rogue (Master Poisoner) and rarely have Totem of Wrath.
Almost never run with a Feral (Leader of the Pack) and can't remember the last Arms Warrior I ran with (Blood Frenzy/Mangle together, I rarely get either)
Ret Pally? What's that? That's Judgement of Wisdom and Heart of the Crusader AND Sanctified Retribution (haven't seen a BM in a while).
Half the time we don't even have a Shaman...Heroism may be gone.
We sometimes don't even have a Mage (Int buff)
So if you're not always running with a tip top group, comparing your DPS with people that are is very hard. I happen to run with a bunch of DK's quite often, and they all bring the same things for the most part. That and latency, latency hurts your DPS.
