Bunch of suggestions, attempt #2

Right, so after posting this thread on the WoW forum's Suggestion thread and only 39 people reading it, I feel like I'm going to give it another try here aswell. I feel like my suggestions requires a bit more attention, seeing as the other suggestions had more views along than my 31 suggestions put together.
So here goes, this isn't anything major and gamebreaking. Just something that I think should be in the game by default. I know there are addons to fix some of these suggestions but I prefer not to use addons.
Let me know what you think or if you don't understand one of the suggestions and I'll try make the description a bit more clear.
Interface Settings change upon dual spec swap.
Whenever I swap spec using the dual spec, I'd like my interface settings to change aswell. Like nameplates show/hide, the combat text shouldn't show certain events, display/hide aggro warnings etc, etc. You get the idea.
Graphics change upon character swap
Same idea here. If I log my L20 Mage, I'd like the graphics to be pretty high since I wont be around highly populated areas, meaning I can enjoy my enviroments with better graphics without having to worry about any major FPS drops. When I log my L80 Paladin for some raiding, I'd like to graphics to be pretty low since I prioritize FPS over graphics when raiding.
Mass enable/disable addons using shift + Left Click
Sometimes I need to disable some addon, which is divided into several smaller 'sub-addons'. Like, DBM for instance, which has several DBM's for different raids. If I want to disable DBM all together, I'd like to be able to hold shift while clicking the top + bottom of the list, and it'll disable/enable all the addons inbetween where I clicked.
Enable/Disable certain error messages
The red error message text at the centre of the screen saying "Spell is not ready yet." or "Target is out of range.". I know if my spell isn't ready yet, I'm only spamming the button to use it as early as possible. Although, I don't always know if my target is out of range or out of line of sight, therefore I'd like some sort of advanced option where you can disable/enable certain messages to keep track of the errors you're interested in being alerted by.
Sort nameplates from Hostile/Neutral and NPC/Player
When PvPing among NPC's, or PvEing where neutral NPC's are of no importance, I'd like to be able to turn those nameplates off to avoid all the clumpsy nameplates cluttering my screen.
Colored nameplates
Nameplates could be colored in a different color, to keep track of Players and NPC's.
Say yellow for neutral mobs, red for hostile and I don't know, brown for players? Or alternatively, class-colored nameplates for PvP enviroments.
Colored names character names above characters
Haven't given this too much thought, really. But wouldn't it be interesting if the character name above a player's character would show in his/her class' colors instead of blue/green for PvP enabled/disabled?
Range in party interface
Similar to the one for raid interface, but for party interface aswell. It'd show whether or not a player's within range of your character or not even in 5man parties.
Rename bags
I like to keep my bags separated depending on what they contain. Like for example, Bag 1 for tanking gear, Bag 2 for trash item that's going to vendor, Bag 3 for Profession-materials, and so on. I'd like to see a feature allowing you to rename the bags to make it easier for you to keep track of what bag contains what.
Hide actionbar hotkeys
I like to keep my screen clean, and those hotkey letters/numbers are making my actionbar into a total mess.
Show reputation gained from quests in questlog
The quests currently show you how much experience they yield when you turn them in. I'd like the quests to also show how much reputation they give with each faction.
Level 1 snakes at Slad'ran in Gundrak
Currently, whenever you have nameplates and/or Track Beasts enabled when you enter the room, those level 1 snakes will fill your screen with nameplates and your minimap with yellow dots which is somewhat annoying. I suggest putting the snakes in the critter category, rather than the beast category.
More accurate /who lists
If I'm looking for someone, let's call him 'Death'. And I wonder where he is, I'll type '/who Death' in the chat window and voilá, I have a complete list of anyone with the word 'Death' in their name, class, location or race. I'd like to be able to write for example '/who "Death"' which will show me a list of everyone with nothing but the word 'Death' in their name, class, race and location. No more, no less.
Color Unit frames after debuffs
Either color the unit frame portraits depending on their debuff (Magic/Poison/Disease). Or alternatively, add a color of said debuff to the debuff's frame below the unit frame, so I don't have to hover mouse over the debuff to find out whether or not it's dispellable.
Notes to ignore list
I seem to be having a hard time remembering why I put someone on ignore list, and would therefore like to see something similar to the friends list's note function. A way for me to remember what this person's doing on my ignore list.
Enable/Disable confirmation boxes for loot rolls
When I'm doing some instance on one of my characters, I simply don't care about the loot. I know that I don't need anything that drops in there, and therefore I'd like a way to disable those confirmation boxes. Or possibly a function allowing me to automatically pass/greed on items that drops.
Improved Wintergrasp Timer
As you may have figured already. The wintergrasp timer should be visible to anyone, no matter where you are.
Adjust the distance of which nameplates should show
As a melee DPS, I don't really care about those neutal mobs 30 yards away. The only thing I care are the nameplates of the hostile mobs 5 yards infront of me.
Earlier/Previous auctions button at Auction House
When comparing items or similar, I'd like to simply be able to click 'Previous search' to go back to the list of items I had up before my current one. Saving me from having to type the name of the item again and scroll through the pages once more.
Improved city guard directions
Let's say you're in Stormwind, and you're looking for the Jewelcrafting trainer. You go ask the guard for said profession trainer but it's nowhere to be found in the list of profession trainers. Simply because there is no Jewelcrafting trainer in Stormwind. The guard should, in my opion, direct you to another city where you can train Jewelcrafting.
Add money reward among quest item rewards
For those hardcore levelers out there, full inventory is a pain. Therefore, the quest giver should offer a certain amount of money instead of the quest item if neither of the rewards are appealing to your class.
Better Food/Water to regenerate more mana/health
I'm having especially those end-game raiders in mind with their 40k mana pools and 50k health. It's probably a pain having to wait for what, 40 seconds? To fully regenerate your health/mana pool without using any abilities. I haven't been there myself, so I'm only assuming here.
Also, how about food/water that regenerate health/mana based on a percentage instead of a certain amount?
Escape Artist Animation
Gnome's Escape Artist racial demands an animation. 'Nuff said. I can't think of any other non-passive racial that doesn't have an animation to it.
Cross-realm chatting
It's been suggested and discussed before, and I'm suggesting it again. It shouldn't be impossible seeing as we're able to both chat and play dungeons/battlegrounds with other realms nowadays?
Search function in combat log
A lot of people hit me at once and I want to know what a certain person did to me, or how much a certain spell hit me for.
More character slots per realm Q.Q
After 5 years, I feel like 10 character slots isn't enough any more.
Queue up for both BGs and Dungeons at once
This has also been brought up several times. Why can't I queue up for a random dungeon and a battleground at the same time? ): Also, while we're at it. Why can I only sign up for 2 battlegrounds at once? The 15 minute queues are killing me.
Easier to find macro icons
Sort macros after classes or add a search function where you can search for the ability's icon. Also, I want more icons.
Skip intro in Culling of Stratholme (Past)
About 10 minutes of talking is quite a long time, especially when you do it over, and over, and over again.
Vote kick timer lowered
People are exploiting the debuff, and leech the dungeon for 15 minutes before they are removed from the dungeon. Lower the timer for vote kick to get rid of leechers.
Judgements of the Just icon
The paladin's Judgements of the Just debuff icon looks the same as the paladin's Judgement of Light which is causing quite some confusion sometimes. Change the icon.

Brilliant list. Many of these are small suggestions, and a few can be done with addons, but remember that it's the small things that cumulatively make something great. Just like ordering from a fast-food drive-through: You probably have ketchup at home or can obtain it easily elsewhere, but it's always nice to open your bag and see that they've provided some for you already. A lot of these suggestions are unnecessary, true, but they would really improve the gameplay experience for many people if they were implemented.
Good list!

Improved Wintergrasp Timer
As you may have figured already. The wintergrasp timer should be visible to anyone, no matter where you are.
Umm, this is already in game. Go to the pvp window, click Battlegrounds tab and voila, WG timer.

Judgements of the Just icon

These are already in there (ish).
The first, you have to add more lines to your search string.
/who n- "Death" /who z- "Death", or something like that anyway, been a few years since I used it.
The second is available in X-perl. You can opt to turn off the roll prompt, automatically passing on loot for you.
For the Judgement, the icon can be changed with a simple macro.

Whenever I swap spec using the dual spec, I'd like my interface settings to change aswell. Like nameplates show/hide, the combat text shouldn't show certain events, display/hide aggro warnings etc, etc. You get the idea.
Sure, can come into this one (I see no need for it tho)
Graphics change upon character swap
Same idea here. If I log my L20 Mage, I'd like the graphics to be pretty high since I wont be around highly populated areas, meaning I can enjoy my enviroments with better graphics without having to worry about any major FPS drops. When I log my L80 Paladin for some raiding, I'd like to graphics to be pretty low since I prioritize FPS over graphics when raiding.
Most adjustings take a reload of your screen, so better don't.
If an addon has "subaddons", you can disable the core and it will auto. disable the rest (will say "Dependency disabled" or so.
Oh god, yes.
Sort nameplates from Hostile/Neutral and NPC/Player
When PvPing among NPC's, or PvEing where neutral NPC's are of no importance, I'd like to be able to turn those nameplates off to avoid all the clumpsy nameplates cluttering my screen.

Nameplates could be colored in a different color, to keep track of Players and NPC's.
Say yellow for neutral mobs, red for hostile and I don't know, brown for players? Or alternatively, class-colored nameplates for PvP enviroments.
..They are colored..
Colored names character names above characters
Haven't given this too much thought, really. But wouldn't it be interesting if the character name above a player's character would show in his/her class' colors instead of blue/green for PvP enabled/disabled?
I don't see a need for it, since no one looks to these nameplates anyway since they're too small but okay..
Range in party interface
Similar to the one for raid interface, but for party interface aswell. It'd show whether or not a player's within range of your character or not even in 5man parties.
There are addons for it, but can see this being nice for a healer without addons (lol).
Again, use an addon, which makes it all easier to manage as well. And how hard is it to just think by yourself "Bag 2 is trash!" :)
Hide actionbar hotkeys
I like to keep my screen clean, and those hotkey letters/numbers are making my actionbar into a total mess.
Again, addons.
Show reputation gained from quests in questlog
The quests currently show you how much experience they yield when you turn them in. I'd like the quests to also show how much reputation they give with each faction.
I already thought showing experience was dumb, so Im also against this one.
1 aoe and they're dead.. Or just press V for a second.
Well, you can just type something like /who death deathknight 80
Color Unit frames after debuffs
Either color the unit frame portraits depending on their debuff (Magic/Poison/Disease). Or alternatively, add a color of said debuff to the debuff's frame below the unit frame, so I don't have to hover mouse over the debuff to find out whether or not it's dispellable.
Can see this being useful.
Notes to ignore list
I seem to be having a hard time remembering why I put someone on ignore list, and would therefore like to see something similar to the friends list's note function. A way for me to remember what this person's doing on my ignore list.
Please, yes! (however, again, there are addons for it)
Enable/Disable confirmation boxes for loot rolls
When I'm doing some instance on one of my characters, I simply don't care about the loot. I know that I don't need anything that drops in there, and therefore I'd like a way to disable those confirmation boxes. Or possibly a function allowing me to automatically pass/greed on items that drops.
=Moar loot drama, nodanke.
Improved Wintergrasp Timer
As you may have figured already. The wintergrasp timer should be visible to anyone, no matter where you are.
I thought it already was, but if it aint, sure.
Adjust the distance of which nameplates should show
As a melee DPS, I don't really care about those neutal mobs 30 yards away. The only thing I care are the nameplates of the hostile mobs 5 yards infront of me.
Sure..
Earlier/Previous auctions button at Auction House
When comparing items or similar, I'd like to simply be able to click 'Previous search' to go back to the list of items I had up before my current one. Saving me from having to type the name of the item again and scroll through the pages once more.
It's not that hard to type it in again, blizz has better stuff to do.
The guards are STORMWIND guards, knowing all directions in stormwind. They're made to know all cities and it's npcs (even if its only a citylocation, without coords).
Add money reward among quest item rewards
For those hardcore levelers out there, full inventory is a pain. Therefore, the quest giver should offer a certain amount of money instead of the quest item if neither of the rewards are appealing to your class.
Let's make this even more easier! Almost every npc with quests is close to a vendor. Again, Blizz has better things to do.
There's much food with % hp/mana regen.. And even without that it's not a problem.
Escape Artist Animation
Gnome's Escape Artist racial demands an animation. 'Nuff said. I can't think of any other non-passive racial that doesn't have an animation to it.
Oh noes, an animation.
Cross-realm chatting
It's been suggested and discussed before, and I'm suggesting it again. It shouldn't be impossible seeing as we're able to both chat and play dungeons/battlegrounds with other realms nowadays?
"Oh hey lets flame/spam him to death, he won't find me ingame anyway to reject me from raids or so!"
Search function in combat log
A lot of people hit me at once and I want to know what a certain person did to me, or how much a certain spell hit me for.
Agree.
More character slots per realm Q.Q
After 5 years, I feel like 10 character slots isn't enough any more.
2 more max (since there will be 2 more races) then.
Queue up for both BGs and Dungeons at once
This has also been brought up several times. Why can't I queue up for a random dungeon and a battleground at the same time? ): Also, while we're at it. Why can I only sign up for 2 battlegrounds at once? The 15 minute queues are killing me.
Meh, I like it this way, less random leavers in BG for example.
Easier to find macro icons
Sort macros after classes or add a search function where you can search for the ability's icon. Also, I want more icons.
Theyre sorted on class....
Skip intro in Culling of Stratholme (Past)
About 10 minutes of talking is quite a long time, especially when you do it over, and over, and over again.
Blizzard already told us it's too much work to implent that for now..
Vote kick timer lowered
People are exploiting the debuff, and leech the dungeon for 15 minutes before they are removed from the dungeon. Lower the timer for vote kick to get rid of leechers.
Agree, 5-6min please.
Judgements of the Just icon
The paladin's Judgements of the Just debuff icon looks the same as the paladin's Judgement of Light which is causing quite some confusion sometimes. Change the icon.
Meh.. If it makes you happy =)

Colored nameplates
Nameplates could be colored in a different color, to keep track of Players and NPC's.
Say yellow for neutral mobs, red for hostile and I don't know, brown for players? Or alternatively, class-colored nameplates for PvP enviroments.
..They are colored..
They are colored after Neutral/Hostile targets, although not after player classes, as in Blue for Shaman/Mage, Brown for Warrior, White for Priests and so on.

Sometimes, I want to disable a few of the sub-addons, not all of them. Let's say I'm going to do some PvPing, to reduce addon memory I disable all the DBM's except for Party and PvP.

"Report Spam" and the spammer's account will be ignored until you logout. Problem solved.

Theyre sorted on class....
Some classes uses the same icons as others, making it difficult to find the other class' icon you're looking for.
Also, I use the nameplate feature all the time. I love it! (Except for when I'm in the room of Slad'ran in Gundrak)

Don't say "Alternatively" then.

No addon has more then like 8 subaddons.. If you want to disable just a few: 4-5 clicks is as much time as shift + click first + click last + disable
"Report Spam" and the spammer's account will be ignored until you logout. Problem solved.
Report Spam isn't for reporting people for flaming, just spamming. You'll waste Blizzards time by using Report Spam like this.
Some classes uses the same icons as others, making it difficult to find the other class' icon you're looking for.
If the icons are the same, what does it matter from which class you got it? As they look exactly the same..

The suggestion would work if you want to disable several addons that happens to be listed in a row after eachother.
"Report Spam" and the spammer's account will be ignored until you logout. Problem solved.

I suppose you mean that Blizzard actually look up all the people who've been reported for spamming. If they do, I wasn't aware of that. In that case, add a 'Temporary Ignore' or something?
Some classes uses the same icons as others, making it difficult to find the other class' icon you're looking for.
If the icons are the same, what does it matter from which class you got it? As they look exactly the same..
Because the icons aren't listed twice, meaning some classes are left without some of their abilities' icons.

No. Idiots would abuse the lowered kick time to auto-boot someone out of the group for having a low gearscore, or just to be jerks.
Other than that, I can see just about every other suggestion implemented in some way... perhaps not as a part of the game, but a manager addon.
Also, can't everybody already see the WG timer by viewing the WG map? (I could be wrong)
