So I have been gathering Frost emblems slowly but surely and I am at 93 right now.
I have been debating several pieces and dont know which to upgrade first.
The trinket seems very good and my cloak needs work.
Which do you think I should get
Sentinel's Winter CloakCorroded Skeleton KeyOr an offset armor piece or start working towards T10? The T10 2p bonus seems nice but my major pieces are decent quality and I think the cloak or trinket would give me a larger boost. What are your thoughts.
My guilds been getting up to speed on ToC10 and were downing it regularly now might be starting ToGC soon were also working on clearing ICC10 but havn't been able to drop Marrowgar but we hope to clear that soon if that helps show the level of play i do.
Oh and my armory of course.

The thing about the key is, I upgraded from
Heart of Iron to
Skeleton Key recently, which is 66 Stamina upgrade. However, if you look at our other upgrades, for example
Tier 9.245 up to
Kraken, that's a 42 Stamina upgrade (plus a ton of armor) if you hit socket bonuses on Kraken, or (if you skipped the bonuses like I did), it's a 57 Stamina upgrade, plus the Armor, plus the strength, plus the avoidance is more or less equal.
Yes the Skeleton Key might be a big upgrade, but the other stuff is a big upgrade too. It all depends on what you already have. If you are suck with Seal of the Patheon and Essence of Gossamer, then yeah maybe Skeleton Key is a good first choice for you.

I would go with the options that tanking tips provides and thats Back then belt, both are excellent upgrades on anything pre ICC. On a side note Tanking tips recmomends that the Skeleton key be one of the last upgrades you waste your frost emblems on.
I don't fully agree with his opinions on trinkets. He says, for example, that he wouldn't use Skeleton Key over Black Heart. Skeleton Key is nearly 1200 more health than Black Heart. Yes, Black Heart has a nice armor proc, but averaged out it's worth a constant 800-900 armor, give or take.
Effective Health-wise, 1000 armor is worth about 1000 health, or 85 Stamina. This makes the 1792 armor on Glyph of Indom worth about 1800 Health or 152 Stamina.
I'm not super jazzed over trinket usage either. It's nice, but honestly not game breaking for me. Glyph's 10% (pre DR) dodge for 20 seconds may or may-not make a difference during high damage portions (like 3-stack Festergut). Likewise, the one-time 6400 damage absorb from the key might not make a big difference either. For me it's the passive bonus that these trinkets give me to. I'd rather have the 2660 health from Skeleton Key with a 6400 absorb than have 1470 health from Black Heart and 7000 armor for 10 seconds every ~50 seconds.
But again, Frost Emblem pick lists all depends on what you have equipped now and what you have potentially available to you soon. For example, I have the
ToGC25 Expertise Cloak from Jaraxxus, and I find myself lacking Expertise in ICC gear, so the Frost Cloak actually dropped to dead last on my pick list. Getting the Frost Cloak would give me 8 Stamina, 564 armor (~564 Health or ~48 Stamina), and I lose 43 Expertise. So for me, the cloak is only a 56 Stamina upgrade. Like I said before, going from Heart of Iron to Skeleton Key was a 66 Stamina upgrade (without losing expertise), and the Kraken gloves were a raw 42 Stamina upgrade and another 1113 Armor (1113 health = 95 Stamina).
Make the choice that makes sense to you. Spend a little time and see what is available out there. For many people, finding good trinkets is a problem. There's nothing wrong with Glyph of Indomitability and Black Heart, but I don't think replacing Black Heart with Skeleton Key is a bad thing. Just make sure there are not other, better upgrades available before you drop the Frosts on Skeleton Key.
