There is a lack of progression for the alliance in cataclysm. You have the horde, gaining the bad-ass type leader Garrosh Hellscream who is acting like a real leader, advancing through numerous alliance zones and taking over half of azeroth, and the alliance doesn't seem to be advancing anywhere into horde territory, just moving into a settlement 'north' of where they were invaded. It seems the leader of the alliance isn't taking the leadership role as serious as Garrosh Hellscream is... am I misinformed? Will there be more alliance progression in cataclysm?

Considering we don't know half of what is happening in cataclysm...
Seriously though, right now is the Horde's offensive moment. Later perhaps we will see an Alliance one.
And I'm sorry, QQ but there isn't really anything you can do about it besides complain, and we've seen enough of that.

It's not much in the way of positive progression if the only reason they're moving is because the Horde is taking over their territory.
As for a serious answer to your question: FOR THE HORDE!
...
Wait...

lmfao.
I LOL'd at that too.
Although as a die-hard follower of the Horde, I am glad to see that the Horde is making military strides. I'm all for chaos and warfare between the Horde and the Alliance, I want to see tension building and blood boiling!

Horde didn't complain when your genocidal king came back...

He's not as genocidal anymore heh. And technically, the Gilneas aren't pushing north: Warchief Garrosh sicced the Forsaken on them. But, it's possible Stormguarde is being reclaimed, so Alliance will have a real town in Arathi, though we lose Southshore so kinda of takes away from that.

Although we take half o' the barrens. That's a major chunk a' land.
Edit: Spelling... (oh the irony)

Blizzcon did. Only the northern part near WC is being revitalized.

Dang. But the bottom half cuts of Durotar and Mulgore/1000 Needles from each other. So its a major strategic gain.
