Well first could someone tell me how I can see average dps over the whole fight in the logs posted here?
Second if you base your "findings" of +200dps on the logs you have posted here there are some obvious mistakes. All the mistakes that I could find by glancing at the logs were in favor of try number 2 and thereby giving that try more dps?
There is a difference between the two tries in buff uptime(talking Hunger for Blood, Shout, Icy Talons). This might be explained by the death you had(I will get back to this). Besides that you had 123 misses on abilities on try number 1 and only 73 on try number 2. That is 40% less misses on try number 2 in comparison to try number 1.
On try number 1 your DK also seemed to forget to use Horn of Winter = 0% uptime. On try number 2 you had a little over 26% uptime(still way too low, you should talk to your DK about this).
As for the death. I have no idea why you in the las seconds of try number 1 decided to go and spam some FoF, pull agro from beasts and get yourself dead. Why oh why was this needed?
That is just my short thoughts on your "findings"
We might also need an armory profile to say more.

The only thing i could see happening with this spec is that you will end up clipping the envenom buff with the extra energy. I already have trouble not clipping it without energy capping alot of the time and I'm not even in 2pcT10 yet.

One attempt is not sufficient to measure any dps difference accurately. Even assuming same static buffs and fight length, the difference in dynamic buffs and user input will make dps vary from attempt to attempt well beyond 200 dps.

Your 51/18/3 parse has no Heroism and your 51/15/5 has Heroism. You also are missing Might/BShout in your second parse. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Saying you gain 25 energy every two global cooldowns is incorrect, as it implies a 25/3 energy per sec energy gain. Mutilate costs a bit of energy, which takes some time to accumulate. You're missing a lot of basic things, and at this point I'd advise you to trust the spreadsheet more.
Does the 10% increased haste increase damage and energy gain enough that it would outshine an 80%-100% chance of returning 25 energy after Envenom?
It really depends on
your
stats and
your
gear, but all current testing shows that it is. By the way, 10% haste is worth a bit more than 328 haste rating due to how haste works. And 3/5 relentless strikes is 60% chance of returning 25 energy after a finisher.

You're right. It doesn't matter, though, as 51/18/2 is the strongest spec atm.
