I think your fine. Do you run 10 or 25 man normally? Yes, your trinket could be much better. surprised you don't have satrina's scarab/Juggernauts Vitality yet
Looks like you already have full stamina gems, but it seems like your health is still low. I would update your trinkets and cape (as you mentioned) and see where you stand, i would assume your stats would jump up a little more in all departments after those.

to maximize your overall stats
change the red in the legs to solid (stamina)
change the red in the belt to guardian's (exp/stam)
chance the yellow in the helm to enduring (def/stam) or vivid (hit/stam)
to maximize just your health
change the red in the legs to solid (stam)
change the yellow in the head to a nightmare tear (10 stats)
get the black heart off the black knight in reg toc5
get glyph of indominability from emblems of triumph
get mongoose for your weapon
look for a new cloak, pref with expertise such as
these
save emblems of frost to get 4xT10 (head, shoulders, gloves, and legs) asap, legs re the most important
move 2/5 cruelty to 2/2 imp disciplines for more survivability
change glyph of revenge to glyph of shield wall, shield wall and blocking are your must haves
change glyph of shockwave to vigilance for threat or last stand for survivability
and most importantly best of luck to you mate

your armor is a bit on the low side. for comparison, you have 26.5k, while i have 30.3k with lower ilevel gear. looks like your HP and avoidance are fine to me.
the badge armor trinket is awesome, and i'd definitely replace a mug with it. i'd also try and pick up those 12 stam socket bonuses, especially since you already matched the red in the legs (although expertise/stam would be a much better choice).
i also prefer the triumph badge armor ring to the rep ring until revered or higher.
personally, i would not use your frost badges for tier gear - first replace your 213 cape with the most awesome
cape
around. i also think most of the pieces you have are better than the tier pieces in those slots.

"Best" is a relative term and which item is better for a given slot varies depending on the rest of your gear.
The brewfest trinket will give you 1,982 health fully buffed with a virtually useless on use whereas the glyph is a solid 2% physical mitigation which the large majority of damage happens to be and a 13.01% dodge on use before DR, i'd take the glyph most of the time.
From what i've seen the ashen verdict tanking ring has a fairly low uptime, if you don't have better or need the hit it's a solid upgrade but I'll stick with equal/higher stamina rings with static armor.

assume you're putting a def/stam gem in the cloak. the new winter cloak will then give you more avoidance, 25 more stamina, and 571 more armor (not to mention the 32 str). all that for just 38 expertise is a pretty good trade.
the
ring
i was talking about is the one you can buy with old badges.
