Might try healing...

Hi all,
I have only really tanked end-game, with all classes except a Druid. I might try healing to vary my gameplay. I have come up with
this build
, and from what I have read up on so far, I'll be stacking Intellect and be a Holy Light-based healer.
I am anal about 1 thing: I hate it when talents are not maxed (childish, I know); I had 1 point to throw around as a filler in the Holy Tree and I put it in
Improved Concentration Aura
. I decided against putting it in
Improved Blessing of Wisdom
since I believe
Blessing of Kings
would be best for me.
Please feel free to give advice/help.
Thanks.

Thats not childish its OCD. Look at the link below yours for int explanations.

Haha, you're right Quest, it's OCD! :)
And thanks, I read that thread. Definitely helped to reassure my leaning towards Intellect.
Do you think it's wrong that I delved into the Ret tree to get Crit talents even though I'll be stacking Int? I just dont like the look of the Prot talents; they seem like a waste of filler points just to get "raid wall".

Just because Int > crit, does not mean everything > crit. Crit is a great and necessary stat.

Thanks, Hyper.
Any suggestions on my glyphs? Did I choose decent ones? Trying to max healing output as much as possible.
I must say, even though I have never healed, I have always been keeping an eye on patch release notes, etc. I like how now Paladins have (via talents and glyphs) decent AoE heal capabilities. I bet they help immensely in 5-mans.

Imp. Conc is useless in PvE. Spiritual focus + untalented Conc = immune to pushback.
The shorter cooldown on HoP and the 6% damage reduction from Imp. RF are both useful and not at all filler to get to DiSac/DG. Plus once you're there you can pick up an extra 6% healing from Imp. Dev aura.
That raid wall is hugely useful in current content. The ret build is pretty pointless now. It was good when 200/213 gear was serious business and that extra crit was still awesome for mana regen (which was a bigger problem back then), and in naxx there simply weren't a lot of instances where DS/DG was worth anything.
I strongly recommend GoSoW over GoSoL. The extra efficiency is awesome, plus you get ridiculous mana returns from meleeing/judging with SoW.
Don't think of yourself as a Holy Light based healer. You have three heals and all of them are useful. Learning when to use each one is vital.

Ah, damn! I added the percentages up wrong... I thought with Spiritual Focus I'd be at 95%, but of course it will be 105%. Thanks, pezz. Where would you suggest that 1 point should go? I hope you don't say Improved Blessing of Wisdom since I don't see me using that over Kings. Maybe 1 point in Unyielding Faith: less time running around like a headless chicken!
Hmm, wouldn't it be silly to have Improved RF up as a healer, for aggro issues? Or am I missing something obvious here?
And I see your point on GoSoW, thanks.

BoW is actually better for longevity until your gear is insanely good. I still use it and I've cleared ToC.
You do need to be careful with Imp. RF, yes, but on boss fights without adds it's just 6% free magic mitigation. Trust me, random add spawns might cause problems, but you won't pull bosses off tanks. Ever.

Well, since I am told that I am an excellent tank, if I ever pull off a boss as a healer, I'll just blame the "noob tank", haha.
Jokes aside, many thanks to everyone for the info and help. I think I'll try both specs (one with Prot talents, and the other with Ret ones) and see which one I prefer.

You would be dealing with a noob tank if you pulled aggro off a tank and spank. I exo and HS in 5 mans with RF up within about 3 seconds of the tank pulling and I don't get aggro.
Part of that, though, as I've found out, is that I was using HS and Exo ranks two away from the maximum. 3k HS heals are awesome.

Heh, unfortunately I have met quite a few bad tanks in my WoW lifetime, so I'll always err on the side of caution!
But your feedback is great that you don't pull aggro; makes me a happy panda.
