Hey nite:
I don't think God neglects poeple at all. First you have to put it in a more human understanding. For example:
You have a child that is loved by his parents. The parents give him many things to show the love, and care for him deeply. The give advice and teach him to how to live a good life. The child decides he knows best on his own, and doesn't need the parents, so he turns his back on them, their goodness, and teaching/advice and leaves. He lives his own life the way he wants too, he makes many mistakes, gets hurt, etc. Despite this, the parents still love their child, and reach out to help them, but to no avail. No matter what they do, he won't come back. Now who is to blame here, the parents or the child, when it comes to the relationship not working? Its not neglect, its more of giving the child the freedom to dow what they want, even if what they want is not best for them. The parents hope what they did will help the child and will always be there if the child returns, but ultimately, they can't make the child respect them, love them, listen to them, etc. That's the free will of man as well!
What would you want the parent to do to keep the child safe and from leaving? Drug them, and hide them away so they can't experience the difficulties of life/good things in life, in order to protect them, b/c as the parent you know what is better. What kind of relationship is this?
How about give them the information/teaching/caring they need to survive, let them go, and hope they return to you for help when they need it, advice, and thus developing a truly meaningful relationship.
No parent wants their child to get hurt/experience bad things, but they can't control them and keep them from it either. What they hope is that the child will use the advice/teaching/etc to get through the difficulties on their own and come to them for advice and guidance to become a "good" person too.
so its not neglect, but an example of God allowing man to have Free Will, even if it means losing the person, b/c without Free Will, you lose the meaning of the relationship.
Mapled;
Well my defination of niglecting from God is, he will stop helping you. But will watch your self intuition that you have brought to yourself and is in process.
In other words he will look over you, he will do the same to your account good deeds counts as good deeds and bad deeds count as bad, but he will not point you to the right direction, nor help you. That is my definatation of niglect from God. It is also called a test in Holy Bible and Holy Quran.
Its kinda something you tell your child once or twice and if he still doesnt wish to follow you to the path that you follow..you will not force him,..Lets have a better example.
If you child is 14 starts turning on you, after your 14 years of outstanding parenting and teaching, you raized him and did whatever you could to bring him up to a certain stage where he have the mind of his own. Yet he turns against you, he changes his gathering to gathering of a gangster, you find out that he have a possession of a gun and a written note right beside it, you find pouches of weed in his jacket, (note you must also know that such things can also make you lose your control). Now forget religion, forget God, forget everything and come to real common sense. Even a child who does not know god knows that it is the wrong thing. Coming back to God and religion, you will pray for his protection and that he should return to the right path and than run to him (your 14 year old) and stop him from doing what he is about to do. (actually I consider that as praying and than working for it) He would still listen to you, yells at you and walks away..that means God have marked his heart and now he neglects helping him....Yet he made you think that you should call the police and notify them whats going to happen. That is the hint from God and grant of YOUR wish to help him. He cant directly help him. And he chose not to change the free thinking and free wills of man kind, or else the world would've been a better place.
That is why I called it "the neglect from God."
In this thread you wish that people should hear you. Yet he is not helping the others who question you, but this discussion hasnt been locked surprizingly. Means that God have granted your wish and want you to discuss this out, but he is not helping others who question you.
I am not sure if you understand this logic of helping from God.
Anyways carry on.

If you feel you're not ready yet to defend your views, then why even bother posting them?
You can't use your age as an excuse to not to argument about your views.
Ohh shut up. I was just using that as a light hearted joke because Hyperspacerebel used some long words. I had hoped I made that clear with my use of '':P'' ''><'' and ''sodding''. Maybe not.
This isn't even a debate topic
, it was just posting something which some people might find funny. Mapled graciously accepted my apology for what I realised was a bit of a stupid post.
I hate to employ the rather over-used ''Life's too short'' argument, but sometimes it really just is. So if you want to tear this apart with how terrible a debater I am and shame me in front of all my important internet friends, good for you, but I'm going to go to bed.
Again, sorry to mapled (And thanks for being gracious) and to Hyper, 'cause I feel I ruffled your feathers a bit :(
i wouldn't worry too much, you were just having fun, which is what this topic was meant for in the first place, even though it turned out in an interesting debate.
besides, I think religious and non-religious people both had worse debates then this to be honest, lol.

make it, rational debate + no solid example refering from quotes or phrases from the book.
Difference between believers and non believers is, non-believers claim that God does not exist with no solid proff and stay safe. Believers however; provide solid proof and what if examples but fail due to their rational behavior.
Both parties are fail IMO.

@ nite: yeah, I'm not a 100% sure what you're trying to say, but I'll say that we probably don't see eye to eye on this issue. I don't think God ever neglects or abandons anyone, but quite the opposite with people walking away from him.
*narrowed eyes*
Simple fact: If you do not believe in God, he will not listen to you, and simply ignore you. Where as if your best friend believes in God and prays for your success, he will listen to him and give you his blessings.
If you still dont understand my point of view than.............>.<

So, why is this here instead of the Religion thread? I mean really, OP is about a group saying Warcraft is the devil's work... how did this descend into whether or not God exists?

There are even scientists that are out proving god + science = fwiends!
Dan Brown sugared it up a bit in Angels & Demons, but in essence, the research done in CERN could prove god's existence with the "god-particle" and what not.
Not saying it is gonna happen, just saying it is a possibility.

I'm not pretending to know much about it, but I don't think the Higgs Boson actually has anything to do with god. Even if there is a god, I doubt the particle will have much to do with him. The term ''God-particle'' is disliked by many scientists, as it overstates the importance of the particle. Calling it that is really just a media-ization (SHUT UP IT'S A WORD :P)
But I may be wrong - If anyone knows much about it, I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.
from what i understand of the theory is that, Antimatter would of been the way 'god' created the universe, with this matter other matter can be created.
thus people calling it the god-paticle, it sounds more impressive in a discussion then antimatter, lol.
I lol @ people who take Dan Brown seriously.
I lol @ people that think Dan Brown made it up all by himself, do some reseach before you are
trying to sound clever.
Dan Brown talks to researchers about this subject and the headlines, (thus simplifying it) and then he writes a whole plot around it. (he is a writer, so.. yea)
i took him as an example because his book is the most well known for this subject.
i am not claiming this research is the answer, i was merely pointing it out.
by the way Hyper, again with the taking it too serious in a fun thread, lighten up.
