Unfortunately, this site probably isn't purely satire.
This
is an actual "evangelical" pamphlet denouncing the dangers of Dungeons and Dragons. It's not really that far a step from there to World of Warcraft.
I know that there are Christians out there who are not like this. The extremists of any religion are the ones that tend to cause problems in society because they try to force their zealotry on others. But things like this make me laugh - and they also make me a little scared.

It's funny when people take Christwire seriously, despite the fact that some of their more ridiculous articles give away their satirical nature.
It's even
funnier
when people continue to take it seriously, even after others have made it clear that it's satire.
What's funny is that there is no proof that they are a spoof site. You don't
know
that they aren't for real, you just assume. Give me one link where they admit to joking.

I recommend that WoW users, including myself, leave this pathetic joke of a website alone. All the comments from WoW users are only making
them
look like they're not complete liars. Not to mention that the Christian faithful may brainwash you with the rest of their legion.
I often joke around "God is a fraud", etc., but it is true. We just can't win a war of words by flaming them on their own territory: realize that they have some fairly fooled users that will see it and spread it as "proof".

Poe's Law -
Without a winking smiley or some other obvious indicator of humor, it is impossible to parody Fundamentalism without someone thinking that you're being serious.

You obviously failed to read the posts before posting; however, I do agree that we need a topic lock.

religion= hate (most of the time)
QFT
So many religions claim to be accepting and such, but there are so few people who actually follow what the religion is trying to actually teach. Instead, extremists come in, seize power and bring the entire religion down for it.
It is my opinion(not trying to force anything on anyone) that religion as it is now should be abolished and replaced with something that isn't 2000 or more years old. Something that is relevent today and that people would understand instead of misinterpreting. Things such as the old testament in the bible are out of date with such things as "Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife - except abroad. Then you shall put all males to the sword, and the women you shall take as booty to yourself." (from Exodus, idk the passage it's from directly).
We need a religion that includes the entire world, if not the universe, as a brother/sisterhood and doesn't mistreat or put down people from other countries or those who decide who be atheist.
