Wildcore - the three damage increasing ones, of course - Avenger's Shield, Exorcism and Judgement.
If you have mana issues, take your pick of Shield of Righteousness (20% mana cost) or Seal of Blood (mana return on SoB damage).

the more i play Protribution PvP the more i like it =D
i've discovered that picking up those zerker buffs in Eots, AB and WSG paired with avenging wrath will make you an ungodly killing machine. just zerker alone makes you powerfull as hell =p
luckily most fights end before you have mana problems, altough i think i might have to get some water for in-between fights :P
edit: Btw still topping dmg meters in 9/10 bgs :)

IS
interesting!
Beware PvPers of Azeroth, a new plague has arrived... The almighty Protribution Paladin!
They have amazing damage, loads of silences/interrupts (2 for alliance/3 for horde) and a survivability that makes even the mightiest of raidbosses envy you.
/RP off
I hope not too many switches to protribution or we'll have massive QQing on the forums xD
Protribution is strong, the only thing that have beaten me fast is an ele shaman (didn't know he was elemental until i got a 7k lavaburst crit on me :o ).
They shine in BGs, you deal alot of damage and take little of it.Most cloth wearers go down in one rotation, (killed a warlock with 19k hp in a duel before he even got to DoT me) plate wearers don't have enough damage because you have insane amounts of armor (i have 23k atm). Healers can be a pain, best bet is to wait for some friends to come or hope you get lucky.
Also it just reeks of pure win when that mage who frost novaed you, thinking "hehe, me win now" Gets hit by a avengers shield and a hammer of wrath, killing him off =)
Edit: ThePiper, i also found it better to switch judgements for the ShoR glyph, altough mine only takes 26mana to cast. Its just pure win when you can get 8k crits for 26 mana =D

You haven't been watching recently. We've been discussing the viability of this build for some time now.
laitaro, your pvp experiences sound great! I wouldn't worry too much about qq'ing though, we'll have to wait and see what happens in 3.2 when the Shield of Righteousness changes, and the BV stats get shuffled around. In the meantime, enjoy it while we can!
In PvE, the issue apparently isn't mana, but threat. A tight rotation will rival a tank's threat because essentially, you're following a Protadin's max TPS rotation, without needing to stop for taunts on adds, without needing to cast Holy Shield, without needing to gimp on DPS for avoidance stats. Oh, and with Seal of Blood/Martyr for even more damage.
Because we only have Hand of Salvation to reduce threat, and no talents that do so, it means that our maximum potential DPS is a lot lower than the other classes which have ways to get rid of their threat buildup. Which is a problem, but only if we're capped. Getting some more feedback on this point would be good, if people can!

In case anyone was wondering about my absense here.

Was wondering, and still am, to be honest. Nevertheless, we'll look after the fort in your absence. See you in 3.2!

i've also found that disc priests are insanely hard, if not impossible to kill. It takes like 3-4 peeps to take one down =p
elemental shamans are pretty much get them before they get you. If you strike first you'll pretty much have them silenced until they die, if they catch you off guard it's spirit healer next ^^
Having a healer on you in a bg is fun as hell, since you don't have to worry about your own health bar you can focus on getting the enemies HP bar down. Since we don't have any instant heals we suffer alot more from Seal of blood than rets do.
if you forget to heal yourself it can take a fairly large chunk of your hp, i've had several times where i would have won if i didn't had taken that extra damage from SoB. But considering i can smash clothies so fast (except disc priest) i can live with it =)
Did 10 arena matches with my mage friend and we got something like 6 wins and 4 losses on a 1k rating. Think we did pretty well considering we both have under 200 resilience =D

Are you remembering to keep Sacred Shield up? That should be a good 1.5-2k protection every 6 seconds - certainly enough to keep Seal of Blood damage in the meantime.
Also - do either of you have a suggested 'burst rotation'? Unloading high damage abilities doesn't work as well in raids, since it stuffs up the cooldowns on your abilities, but is there a skill order you've been using?
Eg, open with Avenger's Shield, run in while they're silenced, ShoR, HotR, Stun, Judgement, ShoR, HoW? Or something?

Is there a reason you Judge before using ShoR? I would have thought ShoR would be better to knock their health down faster...
Edit: How do you guys find it compared to Ret PvP? Is it better/worse?

if it's i caster i usually go something like this
open with AS > Judgement > arcane torrent (when AS silence is gone > ShoR > HoJ > HotR > judge unless they are in HoW range > ShoR if not dead.
my goal with casters is to have them silenced until they die, evil but very effective ';...;'
for melee i almost do the same thing but skip arcane torrent and usually use HoJ in the beggining.
I also try to keep holy shield up when fighting them. I try to keep up sacred shield but in the heat of the battle it's easy to forget it =p

a couple of questions.
Right now I am a noob 80 (played ret 70 and up )with some saronite and junk trying to tank 5 mans.
My biggest job seems to be working with lower levels in instances.
from SM to strath to reg 5 man outlands.
Can this spec and some decent eq tank them?
How does this compare to svirve's conc guide to heard and smack multi mobs for goofing off it would be nice to go the OLD way and heard mobs and slaughter them like in 2.4 LOL
