Zombie Apocolypes! How would you survive?

The solution to this problem really depends on the type of zombies you are up against. Can they run fast? Can they climb? Do they live forever? Do they come out during the day? Can they see like hawks? Are they ultra strong? Can they survive fire?
The other part of the solution depends on where you happen to be when you realize: ZOMGTHEWORLDISFULLOFZOMBIES. If you're downtown New York.. that's really tough. If you happen to be camping in Montana.. you might have better luck.
Let's assume the worse. Let's assume that you are surrounded by super fast, super sensitive, fire immune, dismemberment immune, highly infectous, sprinting, angry, super strong, eternal living, concussion proof, fairly intelligent zombies that can climb vertical walls and never sleep. The worst.
Your friends here are cars and buildings. Preferably a fire truck, tank, semi.... You can hide in a building if you absolutely have too, but eventually you will have to leave. What better time than the present? Perhaps the disease hasn't taken hold on everything and you can still get out. Hiding may give you the ability to wait it out if the disease is temporary, or if the zombies die in a week. We are assuming the worst, thugh. So get a vehicle, fast. Something big that can run over people. A sports car is a death trap. Windows are also a problem. You need to get out of the heart of the city. That is your priority, and fast. Really do anything necessary to get out. You won't last long in there. Maybe 30 minutes at best. IF you make it out, you have a chance at survival. Find yourself an ACE hardware or LOWES or something way out in the suburbs. You need to be fast. Get inside... grab an electric drill, some batteries, a hand saw, a few sheets of plywood, and some wood screws, mirrors, and some fuel tanks. Every moment you are out of your truck, or your truck is stopped, you are likely to die or get infected. Now, once you are back on the road, find a nice open field somewhere with nothing around. Quickly, and alertly, reinforce your windows with the plywood. Cut slots in it just wide enough for you to be able to drive. Affix some mirrors outside so you can quickly see around, under, on top, and behind the truck. No zombie will sneak up on you.

Now that your truck can be parked for a few minutes without having a zombie bash his head through the window and eat you, you can at least take a nap if you need too. Sleeping will help you a lot. It will be as precious as water soon.
Speaking of water... you need to find some. Take those fuel containers to a local gas station. Fill some with gas, and some with water. You will need both. Grab some maps and if you can find some, lubricant, canned food, and dont forget a can opener. Get oil, grease, KY, anything gooey. Dump it all over the cab of your truck. Especially under the windows and on the doors. Anything to keep those zombies from climbing up the side of your truck. 2 minutes and a couple galons of oil on your truck may save you from getting bogged down by the living dead.
Now that you're back on the road, start charting a coarse to a local military base (preferably army). You want to use backroads. No highways, no cities. It will probably take you a few days to get there. That's ok. Take your time. If you encounter pockets of zombies, just remember and mark on your map safe areas you can drive back to. Never keep driving deeper into patches of zombies. Just find another way around.
Once you find your way to a military base, first make sure they didn't survive. You don't wanna go barreling through a still guarded military gate. Once your sure the place is zombie infested, treat it like you would a city. It is going to have a lot of people, thus zombies. This will be another really dangerous, but necessary, risk. Now you need to find thier ammo depo, but first stop off at the cop station. That will give you some guns, but those will just slow down the zombies.
Once your at the ammo depot, see if you can break in. You may need to go to the transportation department and get a tank first. Don't worry, tanks are easier to drive than you think.

You may need to ram open the ammo depo. Once your inside, stock up your tank with C4, grenades, medium artillary, and ammo for it. You will also need to grab a welding torch and equipment from somewhere. You could probably grab this from the transportation department. Now get back to your truck. Weld the trailer onto the tank. This is tricky, because you need to do it so that the trailer can pivot, the tank doest get bogged down, and you also need to supply the trailer brakes with air so they disengage. This will probably take you all day. Find somewhere safe to do it. Keep close to your tank and have grenades on the ready to take out zombies. You may want to get some practice with your weapons anyway.
Now that you have a armored moving depot, its time to fill it up. The base exchange is a good place. Put everything you need in there. Food, soap, toothpaste, water, beer, generator, lights, etc. Make you trailer into your mobile home. Maybe go far enough to mount a camera system to it so you can watch whats going on around you. Grab your maps, and an atlas, and figure out where it is you want to live. You want someplace you can farm, with a stream running nearby, or an underground water source. The underground water source is a better idea, to avoid infection.
Now go to making yourself a huge huge trench. Use explosives. Dig a massive massive trench. Make sure nothing is coming out of it. Put vertical and horizontal walls at the top to make sure. #$%^y trap the whole thing with grenades. Now, napalm the area outside your entrenched empire. No trees, or vegiation outside of your area. You want to be able to see for miles. Motion detecting light system. Camera capabilities. A moveable bridge. You have a lot of work to do. Make sure you have a few square miles of land inside the trench, though. You will need plenty of land to do farming on.
Inside your trenched area.... (to be continued)

Inside your trenched area you need to dig a bunker system with bolting metal doors every 10 yards or so, with pill box type structures leading to the surface, also with bolting metal doors. No matter where you are in your empire, if a group of zombies somehow gets in, you are always close to structure you can hide in. Stock your bunker system with grenades, water, canned food. Keep the inner doors closed, so it doesn't get overrun also. Have them all padlocked, and openable with one key, which is always hung from a chain around your neck.
You will also need to go out of your empire across your bridge every now and then to get more supplies. If you have an on site warehouse and fuel depot, you can put enough away for a decade or so. After a few times of making runs, you are going to notice the outside world is beginnning to deteriorate. Assuming the zombies are still around, your next generation may have no reason to go out of the empire, assumeing you have a next generation.
Now that you are fairly secure, you may want to read about helicopter piloting, and have one of those handy, just in case. You are going to have to teach yourself a lot from books. Medical, farming, piloting, welding, and fast. Good luck, and God's speed. You are the last of the human race.

Oh my god MyTie. You deserve a huge pat on the back. Those zombies aren't going to get you.
Damn. That's some thoughtful planning.
