Read the third post - a few quick guidelines about leveling as Fury (dual wield) & contains a talent build.
Leveling with a 2H weapon is fine also, especially early on. Do this by going down the Arms talent tree (your goal is Mortal Strike).
Avoid talents like Improved Rend (mob doesn't live long enough to bleed to death) and try to limit your points in things like Heroic Strike (this ability does not generate rage, so using it can be counter productive when fighting).
To answer your question about 1H & Shield - there's no reason to level or quest using them; keep them for when you have to tank in Defensive stance for a dungeon (or a group quest).

You want max dps when you're lvling. Higher dps = faster kill = faster lvling. 1hand+shield only when you're doing instances such as WC. This is the reason why it is difficult to lvl a prot warrior.
DW and spec mostly in fury until you're 70. 2H is good too if you spec mainly in Arms. DW, you'll miss alot at low lvls. You can always respec with some gs.
Roll a BSmith/Miner as your profession and you should get decent weapons and gears to use.
As a warrior you'll have huge repair bills so better save the gold for mount and extra needs for your Bsmithing recipe such as leather crap.

Nossy brings up some good points.
I just want to touch on the professions, since you stated you have 120g.
Try to limit your expenses while leveling by farming the materials you need to raise your trade skills. In addition, be reluctant when buying new patterns you know will be not be used. You can always buy them when you're higher level & have more money to spend!
Plate armor repair bills will suck you dry, especially tanking with them. Expect a comfort zone of every 6-10 levels before you need to upgrade your armor, starting with the worst pieces first. You can save a lot of money by getting rare items from dungeons, but be careful - you may end up with a repair bill if your group dies a lot!
Best of luck!
