Eversong Woods Guide

The Eversong Woods is the Blood Elf starting zone. All of the quests are soloable and most of them are fairly easy to accomplish. The quests are fairly linear and offer clear choices of where to head to next. A lot of the mobs are particularly easy for casters since they have low hit points and have some drops that boost your mana. In this regard they can fun to grind since you can accumulate a fair amount of mana boosting drops.

Sunstrider Island is an excellent starting area with fast respawning mobs that are easy to best. You should be in no danger of dying and the only tricky part may be finding the Shrine of Dath'Remar, which is in the Northwest of the island. The Ruins of Silvermoon is another enclosed area for your starting quests that provide more of a challenge. After the first few quests here you will leave the ruins and return to train so it is best to set your Hearthstone here for a little while. When you begin to wander outside of the ruins you will in general head west and do those quests before going east towards Farstrider Retreat; traveling further south as you progress.

Some notable quests:

23 Wanted: Thaelis the Hungerer - This is the quest from the wanted poster. He will spawn randomly in several of the buildings in the ruins. I have primarily seen him in the Northeast building in the ruins.

32 Roadside Ambush - This small chain of quests is easy and nets you a 4-slot container. Simply talk to the NPC and follow his directions.

40 Fish heads, Fish heads - At the time of the beta the low drop rate can make this not really worth the time. I eventually killed about 30+ Murlocs to get all of the heads.

48 The Ring of Mmmrrggll - It is best to clear out one of the Murloc villages and then tag him as he paths through it. Otherwise it is very easy to get several adds since he runs fairly fast when low on health.

58 The Party Never Ends - This quest will incidentally get finished as you travel around doing your other quests. Don't be in a rush with it or you will be doing a lot of pointless traveling.

79 Zul'Marash - The quest giver is a Troll in the cage in the Tor'watha village. Zul'Marash himself is quite easy since you can simply jump off the building if you get in trouble and tag him as he paths down to get you.

81 Powering Our Defenses - Probably the most difficult quest in the zone. Expect three waves of mobs, between two or three mobs per wave. Remember that you don't have to kill all of the mobs, just keep them off of the rune. If you can kite them around a bit, it will make the encounter trivial.

84 The Fallen Courier - Be sure not to miss this one on your way to Ghostlands, it nets you a 6-slot bad and green bracers.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

You are unable to do any of the quests on Sunstrider Isle as a Tauren, I'm assuming you're not going to be able to do them as anything but a Blood Elf.

You can do the quests in Eversong Woods, and Ghostlands though.

If you plan on coming to the Blood Elf area, get to level 6 or 8 before doing so.

Eversong Woods is one of the best places to level. I recommend as soon as you ding honored with your faction (so you can get a discount on your mount if you'd like to do that).

Why? Well, the EXP is very well done. The quests are very well thought about and this is one of the most recent starting places so the quests are just not "Kill XX of XX" or "Bring me XX from XX". You get what I mean?

Quests are scattered around the area of Eversong Woods. Try going to the quests tab in Eversong Woods in wowhead and ascend by level. You can find some quests by doing that.

I can also add that this place is probably -the- best place to skill your herbalism up for starters. The number of standard herbs may not be as much as some places, however this is the only place you can find Bloodthistle and there are loads of it. These are really a great way to boost your herbalism fast.

This is racism pure and simple! Just because Sunstrider Isle is a Blood Elf "training camp" doesn't make it right to shut out the other races from their quests!

As Sulph said the Azurebreeze Coast is north of Duskwither Spire and congrats to those finishing up this zone or Eastern Kingdoms :).

If you're going after the Loremaster achievement, there are 69 Basic quests available to a Blood Elf in this zone. This excludes seasonal quests and class quests.

Alright, i was browsing through the screen shots and came upon this one. I tried clicking on the chicks name to see if i could get a hold of her -i couldn't. Does anyone know how to get here? You can't swim north/up from Hinterlands... and Tirisfal, well, i'll give that a tryi would love to find out. Everything Pre-BC fascinates me. Even those 40man raids, boy do i wish they made a 40man in WoTLK :P

Dawning Lane was once a major thoroughfare in Silvermoon City. In these troubled times, it no longer sees many travellers, but it is still of great use to the resourceful blood elves. Save for a displaced cobblestone here and there, the street is still well-preserved and recently-trained blood elves can safely pass through the ruined sections of Silvermoon City by following this road from Sunstrider Isle to the safe haven of Falconwing Square.

The Falthrien Academy was once one of the premier schools of magic in all of Azeroth, rivalled only by Dalaran in the academy's final operatng years. It can be said that all magic in Azeroth can be traced back to this academy and a select few other establishments - scholars from Falthrien taught humans the art of magic in exchange for help battling the forest trolls of Quel'thalas. Now, however, the academy is not in friendly hands.

Despite being in relatively good condition, one cannot help but feel as though the academy is stained and ruined. Wraiths, beings of pure magic energy, float about siphoning whatever magical residue they can pry off the ages-old stone structures. There are also whispers that a former blood elf resides in the academy's tallest tower - having succumbed to his addiction to arcane magic, some say he is something wretched and frail.

Once a quaint residential area where high elves spent their days peacefully, Feth's Way is now under the control of the Wretched and their monstrous magical golems. Take care if you wander off Dawning Lane and into this forsaken villa.

Though a beautiful part of the Eversong Woods, this beach has recently become the haunt of a powerful and cruel murloc chieftain known as Mmmrrrggglll. Though a great battle can be had fighting him and his underlings amongst the crude huts and tents along the shoreline, there are those blood elves who contend that trying to pronounce his name is enough of a battle in its own right.

A beautiful statue that is miraculously well-preserved despite the utter ruin that has befallen the area in which it stands, the Huntress of the Sun is a testament to the tenacity of Silvermoon City's noble guardians who have also survived to this day amongst the ruins of a once-grand civilization.

Nestled against the walls of Silvermoon City, the North Sanctum (like all other sanctums) helps the blood elves retain a source of magical power in the absence of the Sunwell. This sanctum appears to be safe from harm for now, though its keeper is a tad annoyed that a bothersome diplomat from Ironforge has arrived to inspect the workings of the building.

Behold the unfortunate fate that has come upon a large section of the blood elf capital. Not long ago, rotting undead feet (as well as the armored plate boots of the death knight Arthas) stamped about this part of Silvermoon City bringing suffering and death its high elf denizens. Today, the Silvermoon Ruins retain some inhabitants, but they are anything but friendly. Twisted and depraved blood elves known as the Wretched skulk around, defacing monuments and architecture, while hulking Arcane Patrollers stomp through flowerbeds accosting innocent blood elves while ignoring the criminal Wretched. Foul play is definitely suspected. Adventurers should also be aware that a Wretched crime boss has been seen within a tower in the area.

Say what you will, Saltheril's Haven does provide a welcome escape from the rigors of life in the Eversong Woods. Every night's a party night at Saltheril's Haven! Fireworks, merriment, flirtation! Saltheril has been having some problems securing appetizers and drinks for his bashes, however, and could use some help in scounging up some good drinks for his guests.

Dath'remar was one of the first leaders of high elven culture. Without his leadership, many blood elves claim, there would be no Quel'thalas today. This thought brings a measure of hope to the bleary-eyed blood elves of the Eversong Woods. Perhaps Quel'thalas is in shambles, but the fact that it still exists is something anyone can be thankful for.

Some new blood elf recruits may have trouble finding the shrine. They should first findd the ornate fountain on Sunstrider Isle and then look toward the ocean to the west. They should then see a great stone monument on a cliff overlooking the sea. This is the Shrine of Dath'remar.

The tranquil Sunstrider Isle is the first sight that awaits new Blood Elves ready to help their race (and willing, the rest of the Horde) to take back the world from demonic threats, undead dangers, and scores of other beings bent on plunging Azeroth into everlasting darkness. Mana Wyrms, once friendly helpers to the Blood Elves, now float about idly sucking up arcane power the Blood Elves are keen to ration carefully. Springpaw cats, once as gentle as kittens, are now beginning to turn aggressive. Even the wooden tenders, tiny sapling gardeners, are now attacking their former masters! In order for the Blood Elves to begin reclaiming long-abandoned gazebos and academies in the region, they must cull these threats to ensure their alchemists and researchers can study in peace.

It appears the West Sanctum is not faring too well. Silvermoon City requested the sanctum increase its output of useful magical energy, but that risky decision has resulted in an arcane overload of catastrophic proportions. Malicious magical entities roam about attacking all who come near. It also doesn't help that residents near the sanctum keep filing reports of night elf sightings in the trees surrounding the sanctum. Preposterous!

Falconwing Square is the only area within Silvermoon City's ruined half that remains in operation. Most efforts to reclaim the district are organized here, and adventurers coming from Sunstrider Isle will find the inn and vendors here to be of great use. Make use of the profession trainers within the square, but be aware that some trainers must be sought out in the intact portion of Silvermoon to the east. Quests, tasks, and posted bounties are plentiful here as well.

Skulking Row was never the most attractive part of Silvermoon City, but if the Wretched continue desecrating the now-abandoned district, there will never be a chance for improvement. Couriers shuttling goods between Sunstrider Isle and Silvermoon City have recently gone missing in the area. Adventurers may meet the same fate if they are not prepared.

Tranquil in name only, this sandy beach has been overrun with murlocs. In what is becoming a time-honored tradition amongst the newer recruits of all races in Azeroth, battles against these fishy foes is often a necessity when travel down this coastline is inevitable. Adventurers seeking quests should look to the ridge above the sands for a vengeful blood elf bent on collecting a few fish heads.

Beautiful elven ships of intricate design once called Sunsail Anchorage their home port in Quel'thalas. Today, the harbor knows no master. The Wretched have seized the anchorage, and though they have little use for the facility, are content to simply fiercely defend their holdings from their blood elf cousins. Weapon crates lie about unopened, abandoned boats float in the water, and delicious blood elf delicacies remain untouched on tables and counters. The Wretched are indeed mindless addicts, and some would say it is due time for an intervention.

yea I was in EPL (eastern plagueland) and there was a portal theat lead to the goastlands but it said you need The Burning Crusade so yea you need the expansion.

Faste911, you seem to not understant the question of the others. This is about that on the Main map of the continents, there isn't a Castle thingy that shows the location of the Capital Cities. They know that there are going to be Capitals for both new races. Also, please dont say such things as "guys your so stupid". Thank you.

When you enter UC at the field level. There is an opening in the northern end of the courtyard. Enter there, touch the orb and there. Your in silvermoon (Expansion required)

I rolled a draenei hunterand would like to tame one of the new Springpaw cats (red) that are in this zone. Any idea how i could get up there?

I have considered the naked run and rez method and swiming up the coast. Both options would take forever.

For those alliance who do not use Coordinates:

Follow the road east into Eastern Plaguelands. Go through Darrowshire towards Corwin's Crossing. When the road forks, stay to the left (head north). Continue on the road, it will fork again, stay left, (continuing north), at the next fork go right (north). You will see a sign at the fork that says to Quel'thalas. Go to the portal and enter. You will be in Ghostlands.

Follow roads that head north to make your way to to Eversong. Watch out for guards.

i was running around getting the map when i noted tor' watha looks like an raid place i seen an green portal behind the doors when i used eagle eye to look above it maybe its an new 25 man raid.In ghost lands there is one meting stone out side but dos'nt look finished

how was it that you saw these cool thing behind some wall thing? not that i dont belive you, far from it. i have seen some crazy things due to area glitching and want to see this. did you jump-climb up a mountain range using the glitch footholds? or is it more complicated than that?

If anyone got the AddOn named yatlas he should see that azeroth doesnt have ghostlands and eversong woods attached to the eastern kindom, probably because it and instanced place and therefore if you pass the invisble wall blizz made you will just go through ghostlands/eversong woods without even seeing it.

Hi Chaps, My mate and were wondering what will happen if you have a party of 2 one with WOW original and one with BC expansion pack and go to where Eversong Woods/Ghostlands join the Easten Plaguelands. What do you each see? Would the original user see a beach and sea where ath the BC user would see Ghostland? If you both cross the border would the original user see the BC user walking on water?

I hope i don't sound like to much of a noob but as my main character isn't of a high enough lvl to suvive the trip we can't try it out. Also i believe that there wasn't anything but sea there before the BC expansion included Ghostland but i may be wrong.

Any way just thought i'd ask :)

I found 4 barrels at 24:73! About 3 murlocs were guarding them and a tattered chest.. Easy for a lvl 8 rogue.

For those without coordinate addons, the hut is just west of the first A in sunsail ANCHORAGE on the map. Good luck!
