Today, we are looking at the DPS rankings during the week of April 9th for Phase 3 of Season of Discovery in Sunken Temple. For this analysis, we will use data provided by
Warcraft Logs Sunken Temple statistics
.
Warcraft Logs' Sunken Temple Statistics
Disclaimers and Source
The data for this article was taken from the
Sunken Temple Statistics Page on Warcraft Logs
. We will be looking at data for the 95th percentile, plus showing the overall results to paint a better picture.
The idea of this article is to give a perspective of the current state of class balance for Season of Discovery, meaning this is an
incomplete picture of Phase 3 balance
.
We say perspective, as there are inherent biases in looking at the data this way.
Specs considered underpowered are generally played less and tend to appear weaker than they are.
This happens as many performance-oriented players tend to play the strongest spec or class, increasing the gap between top and bottom specs even further.
Position of specs for the 95th percentile might be skewed by alternative strategies and parse funneling. We're including the chart showing all percentiles' results to paint a better picture for all specs.

Shadow Priest just got out dps'ed by a Warrior Tank, let's go! Blizzard, maybe do something about this?
Since Blizz only balances around PvP... Nope, they won´t do sth xD
Blizz doesn't balance around PvP at all lmao, you seen how stupid it is? People are literally getting globalled.
On the warrior front - someone probably needs to posit to WCL leadership to invalidate any boss fight where reck is used, or alternatively isolate them into a "Warrior - Reck" tier as a separate whole parsing group.

I have no idea how frost mage is doing it but I'm here for it.
Frostfire bolt + Winter's Chill + using Deep Freeze on FoF procs. Join the mage discord for a rundown :)

Warrior without all world buffs 600-700 dps. Warrior with world buffs - 1300 dps. Oh god those world buffs in classic were soooooo terrible experience while item from 40 to 50 lvl gives you 1 more strength and world buffs doubles your dps.
Wish that world buffs will be removed from SoD permamently, but they've introduced more
can you even english?

if you have a fire and a frost mage in raid, they both get value from each other. Fire with improved scorch and Frost with Winter's chill.
Both mages relies on frostfire bolt to deal damage of course, frost mage plays with deep freeze and fingers of frost.
With this configuration, a lucky frost mage can out dps a fire mage.
