If you get one with stats you want its nice shoulders even if you can use mail or plate.

If it doesn't have stats you can use, its a BoE Blue, it will make you some gold in the AH

There's some wrong information here on the stats of ".

It suggests above that the stats on that are
+358 Armor
+54 Stamina, +36 Agility, +36 Hit Rating

CORRECT stats for the are:
+358 Armor
+63 Stamina, +42 Agility, +42 Hit Rating

For this, I'm 100% sure because I'm wearing them now with Aldors shoulder enchant witch gives it 30AP +10Crit, witch makes them very nice upgrade for rogues lvl72 and above.

I know it says random enchantment on the page, but to my knowledge, those "random" enchantments still are the same with every marksman, bandit or other shoulders that start with . -meaning that in the case if it turns out to be marksman shoulders, stats are as I typed above. If they're the "Bandit" -model, stamina and agility stays the same but the third, Attack Power in this case, is +74.

Before I had Swiftstrike Shoulders, that were in the top 10, or maybe even in top 5 rogue PvE/DPS gear in the whole game according to Shadowpanther, before Lich King came.. then I took a year break and it's always sad to burn to dust (disenchant) epic gear like that after leveling only TWO levels. I still remember how much time I spent to get that pattern...lol xD But well, that's just the way it goes.

I actually changed my SwiftStrike Shoulders to Seal Fur marksman spaulders...

+29 Agility
+34 Stamina
+38 Haste
+74 Attack Power

...because when I last checked, I had around 10% of misses in my general combat. I now got Hit Rating of 220, before it was 178 so it's pretty good improvement. Haven't had the chance to check on how much my hit percentage has improved yet though. I don't know what the current cap is for rogues, but I know it's very high compared to hunters for example.

With this change I lost -63,4 AP and -2,08% Haste, and gained +295,8 Health, +2,30% of that precious Hit Rating and +0,28% Crit.

I was actually thinking here, because I don't know all the formulas and how they affect, that how much Hit should I try to get as rogue before AP and Crit stat start to be more important. If someone here could give me a short answer, or a link to somewhere, I'd be grateful.

Thinking of it straigh-forwardly, 10% misses against 72-74 lvl mobs is pretty much DPS. At maximum, I've gotten to somewhere near 2000dps so that would be 200 damage per second lost... >:/ ..small hits equal a lot in the long run, especially when you're playing rogues.

I must say, these are some pretty snazzy shoulders for role playing. If you manage to find this npc on an RP server, I'd either keep them, give them to a friend, or try selling them on the AH and see if anyone on an RP server would want them.

I have them on my rogue, and I'm glad I kept them. At the time, the stats were ideal for me at 75 or whatever it was, so I used them.

Dropped by Crazed Indu'le Survivor "I found this guy (Walrus model Rare, lvl 70 not elite...not a boss) ...well he found me actually lol ... jumped me while I was trying to pick an herb....location 15, 58 in Dragonblight at moonrest gardens area. It was about 11:50PM PST which is about 2:50AM realm time.
Dropped Seal-Fur Spaulders of the Foreseer, and of course, the Abandoned Adventurer's Satchel which had the usual stack of frostweave and about 20g :D"

Same rare mob found me! I was sure it was elite though... he was at 26, 56. Just SW of Star's Rest.

Either way, I pummelled him then the Star's Rest guards took care of him, hehe.

Dropped those spaulders (but 'of the Heirophant') in a bag, 25 frostweave and a bit of gold.
