This is a bit difficult as you must get Unkthor when he is not in submissve mode. Ogres are easy kills but a fast respawn rate makes it hard as well as dealing with the opposite faction doing similar quests. If someone else tags Unkthor while you are in range, you can use him to get the quest. If you arrive after the "sumbmission" you are out of luck till he drops into hostile and repeats the event.

You can find Unkor in the center. You can pull him without pull the other two ogres near him. Move him back a little and you should be just fine.

For some reason after I beated him, I could not talk to him. Therefore I couldn't complete the quest.

I had to beat him again in order to get it done.

I killed 2 invaders then got Unkor to 60ish % and he submitted and sat down on his bum. So maby they fixed this quest after all of you posted.

The quest works fine. You can defeat Unkor before you kill 10 Invaders. However, the quest might bug out for you if Unkor is already submissive when you start the quest. In that case, he will eventually run off and despawn. Just abandon the quest and retake it after he despawns.

after killing the 10 ogres, I then started beating Unkor, when he got down to about 30% he went submissive and had a silver ? pop up over his head, but the quest didnt complete, after about 3 min. Unkor then got up and ran away. When he respawned I then attacked him again and at 30% he went submissive again and this time he had the yellow ? over his head. I was able to complete the quest by talking to him. Didnt have to abandon and restart the quest at all.

This is a terrible quest. I beat him with 9 ogres, and he wouldn't complete the quest. I killed another ogre while he was sitting there, and he wouldn't complete the quest. I waited for him to reset (which takes over 5 minutes) and beat him again, and he still wouldn't complete. I had to abandon the quest and redo it. Unfortunately this leads to the Blademaster chain, so I couldn't just abandon it.

FYI, you can kill him with a powerful attack if you're not careful, or are trying to. I killed him with a Curse of Doom. He only takes 2-3 minutes to respawn if he dies though.

Warning: if he is stunned while going into submissive mode the quest will bug and you'll have to wait for him to respawn (takes forever).

Kill Unkor First, you will need to kill all 10 Invaders prior to killing him.

If you do so, he will sit down with the silver question mark above his head, and you will have to wait for him to despawn//respawn. Was approximate 10 min wait.

Quest should be an easy solo for all @ lvl 64.

Kill other mobs before then unkor, after a while before he's dead he will be stopped.. Be sure others died already near him.

When it comes to DoT's, it seems they really do bug him. So use "instant" dmg when you fight him.
It might not count all the time but i tried him once with deadly poison, he buged, removed deadly poison and he was no longer bugged the second time i got him.
If you got time, stay and watch his fellow ogres dance! Funny sight.

I killed the 10 in the process sapping Unkar. I did not however get aggro of him.

The quest bugged and I had to wait for him to despawn. So if you're a Rogue don't bother sapping him and wasting yourtime.

Unkor is the two headed ogre in the center of the village. Invaders only have one head.

Confirmed that DoTs will bug the quest.
Killed all 10 Intruders first then blasted Unkor with Pyroblast/Fireball etc (fire spec mage). Unkor sat down and "complete quest" was greyed out in the dialogue when I right-clicked him.
Waited a bit for him to run off and respawn. Attacked with only frost/arcane spells (no DoTs) and was able to complete with no fuss.

Tried twice in a group - no luck. Went back solo and it worked.

I asked a GM about this and they said it was working as intended but needed to be done in a specific way. Maybe you have to "kill" him with weapons and not spells?

I like to read quest info sometimes when I get them. Don't wait too long otherwise he'll run off before you can accept the quest. Then you have to wait for a respawn and take him down again before accepting.

First time I tried this I killed 8/10 ogres then beat Unkor, killed the remaining ogres and I then couldnt talk to Unkor. I waited till he respawned and beat him by just spamming shadow bolts (pet on passive). I could then talk to him. I guess you have to kill 10 ogres before you attack Unkor.

Important due to buggy quest npc :

1. Kill 10/10 Boulderfist Invaders first
2. Do NOT use dot / fear or pet on Unkor the Ruthless.

If you do not follow the steps above you risk not beeing able to talk to him, but dont worry he respawns about 10-15 mins.

The same thing happend to me, someone else was doing the quest when I was there and I did not got the chance to beat him up. just wait and he will dissapere and respawn back again in the middle. :)

THIS QUEST IS FINNICKY: You must not only have tap on him, but make sure you attack him directly to start combat. If you let someone else get first tap, or if he aggros while fighting another mob, he may bug out. I was there alone but my shadowfiend aggro'd him, and the quest would not complete. It was not until I let him respawn and kill him 100% by myself, 1 on 1, that everything worked as intended.

Only after u have kille the 10 invaders and beat Unkor to submission will you be able to complete that quest with Unkor. Talk to him immediately however otherwise he will run away and u will have to wait until respawn to beat him into submission again.

I finally got this quest done after the second attempt.

Killed 8 of 10 invaders, then took on Unkor. Quickly beat down the last 2 invaders and I could talk to him and finish out the quest.

Worked for me. :)

I killed 10, then attacked the fat one...... he submitted but I didn't get credit.

I dropped the quest and reaquired it, and killed 9, and waited for Unkor and 1 other mob to respawn. I attacked them both, killed off the add first and then made Unkor submit, with quest success this time.

This was with a warlock and DoTs both times.

i am a mage and ive killed him twice. im the only one here. and i cant complete quest. it wont let me click continue. i think its because my dots are killing him. i guess ill just wait again

I've beaten him 4 times now, and restarted the quest twice (abandoned and accepted again).

None of those times have I been able to speak to him. He just sits there with a gray question mark above his head.

I'd suggest skipping it until it's fixed.

Before you kill 10/10 ogres make the Unkor say submit! ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED, then when he says submit submit, you go kill the count to 10/10!

SO DO NOT KILL 10 ogres BEFORE you have made Unkor say submit submit!

you have to be the one to make him submit. you have to wait till he runs and respawns if someone already has done it.

tried as a party & couldnt complete even after he submitted

tried solo a 2nd time & a rogue helped, still no joy

3rd attempt rogue helped again but it worked this time. not sure why tho. try being only one to attack him. or make sure you get 1st & last hit on the mob

Kill the ten Ogres and then take him out. Just make sure there's not DOT on him... tried it several times with my fire mage until I realized I should use some ice to avoid DOTs. Have fun...

He isn't buggy.. just have to do it correctly :)

If you are a pet class, be sure your pet doesn't get the first or last hit, you'll want to pull him off when he is at about 40% health, at about 25% to 30% health, he will submit and talk. If pet gets first or last shot, he will submit, but not talk.

If he is green when you find him, means someone else just did this quest and you have to wait for him to run off and respawn. Takes about 10 minutes or so.

If you see Unkor sitting at the ground, some1 has already submitted him. Just nuke speak to him so he runs away. And after he spawns he is hostile. And I think too that the mob counter doesnt work. So I killed like 15 of them to make sure :D

OK. This quest is Easy. Once you have talked to the NPC behind the trees to obtain the quest, walk into the village and begin killing the invaders. Unkor the Ruthless spawns at 20, 62 in the center circle. you'll have to wait quite some time to actually begin the fight with him cas his respawn time sucks. sometimes he will be sitting there with a gray question mark over his head and when you begin to talk to him he says "OK! I submit I SUbmit." at that point- you must wait for him to get up and run off. then wait about another 7 minutes to respawn. I hope this solved your problems.

In 2021, he no longer bugs on DOT's and has a fast respawn ( i know becuase i beat him before killing the 10 ogres, so he fled)

There is a way to do this at level 60 for engineers.

Make, or buy, 5 sticks of rough dynamite.

Take of all your gear.

Toss one stick at Unkor and let him beat on you while you wait out the one minute cooldown timer. The first stick should take about 1,300 HP off Unkor.

When the timer resets, toss a second stick and presto! He submits and you can turn in the quest.

I took extra sticks with me to test the strength on some of the other ogres in the area to make sure it would work before hitting Unkor with them.

If you're too strong to hit him without instantly killing him (even without gear and weapons) you can use the Soft Foam Sword to injure him enough to talk, but not enough to instantly kill him. Just stand in front of him, and use the sword to carefully swing. Make sure you kill 10 Boulderfist Invaders first though or Unkor won't talk.

Kilrath in Terokkar Forest has asked that you kill 10 Boulderfist Invaders and beat Unkor the Ruthless until he talks.

Description

I have been watching these beasts for days. The fat one says that he is waiting for something. What he is waiting for, however, is a mystery.

I have a plan but it is going to involve some violence on your part. You will need to kill several of his subordinates and then beat him within an inch of his life. Do this and I am certain he will tell us everything that we need to know.
