This mob must be killed for the Druid Epic flight form quest chain.

As a lvl70 Fury warrior i was assisting a friend in doing this quest chain. This mob hits fairly hard (1k on plate w/o a shield) and curses you (+100% physical Damage taken).

Also, all my attacks against it had a severly impared effect, causing 50% or less damage. Magic attacks had their damage bolstered.

ok, fighting this guy was quite tough at first (have never played as a moonkin so had to remember my time pre level 10 ;)

first of all he has a throw ability that does an amount of damage around 600 per hit. he also puts a curse on you that increases physical damage taken by 100%
Now the best part is that he fires a viper sting that drains your mana, it stacks up to five times (i think) and its lethal, so keep abolish poison up as soon as it hits you. Oh also, dont let him get in melee range, keep him rooted because he hits you for over 2k, and he attacks quite fast.

I had to pop a mana pot but i got him and ended on low health (had no +dmg gear at all but your spell attacks do increased dmg as stated above)

So in summation, clear the area immediately surrounding the statue, keep him rooted, dispell yourself when poisoned, and just nuke him down.

Spell damage against this guy is crazy. I got a 13.9k starfire in elf form (I am full resto). A bit of spell damage gear should sort this guy out :)

This npc is meant to be killed using magic. Do not bother going into any of your feral forms. Even if you are feral spec, go humanoid form, root him and starfire him. Don't forget to renew Moonfires. Also remember to Abolish Poison and Remove Curse.

The npc takes exponential spell damage, has increase physical damage, and takes 50% less physical damage.

He uses Viper Sting taking away mana, and puts a curse on you increasing physical damage.

Druids will need to kill this fellow in The Hawk's Essence as part of the quest line beginning with any druid trainer in Darnassus, Thunderbluff, or Moonglade (when the druid is level 70 and 300 riding skill) to obtain Swift Flight Form (or Epic Flight Form, if you prefer.)

How to do The Falcon's Essence:

grab the quest
go to Terokkar Forest > Sorrow Wing Point /way 45,6, 93,3
interact with Shrine of the Hawk
defeat Guardian of the Hawk and loot Essence of the Hawk. Can be done in caster/boomkin form. Root and nuke.
use Arthorn's Sparrowhawk Whistle and return the quest

In case you're a feral and you too, like me, freaked out after reading these comments and people saying re-spec and stuff, chill.

I am full feral everything, except, I have my Moonfire and Entangling Roots maxed, cause honestly I find them very useful. (even tho I don't use them 95% of the time.)

So, I went up to the guy, as he started moving, I entangled him, and just kept casting Moonfire and keeping my mana in check. don't be scared by the 50k HP, since he takes like 4x damage from spells, 6 Moonfires from me did 25k damage. and since I couldn't hold back the feral inside me, I finished the rest with cat form with an active moon fire on him. what you have to be careful about are all the debuffs, namely a curse and a poison, as long as u dispel those fast, you don't really have much to worry about.

P.S. I did use a Super Healing Potion but that was because the other mobs suddenly got pulled, normally you'd be fine without it.
