I'm sure this is meant to be the enhancement shamans set but it lacks many stats that an enhancement shamans feeds off of. The intellect on it is seriously lacking, even as enhance spec a shaman still relies heavily on intellect, especially if they bring their dps to a raid setting where they would then have to rely on manaspring and the 41point talent to keep them SS's and ES'ing. the strength only makes up for 176 AP, not too bad but there are better 5 peice sets out there for the enhance shaman. Not to mention that there is no +hit on it at all, which if your DW (and most likely are if you are raiding as enhance) is a big downfall. The crit rate is very nice but the lack of +hit and intellect make this more of a desperate starting place for new lvl 70 enhancement shamans that decide to just pvp for starting gear.

Remember one thing guys, this is only blue, not epic. If it were epic, it would probably have +hit on hit (probably). However, the arena set isn't much better...

@ Marmel: Why are you talking about this set and PvE? This set is for PvP only, and +hit isn't THAT important. Plus I'd go 2h in PvP, not DW.

umm ok all fine and dandy but what else should i be looking for? is there a alot better set out there more attaneable or should i just saw screw it and go for it? and if so what gems should i put in? and any other tips would kinda be appreciated.im a 70shaman and iv always been resto (i tryed SS but not a serious attempt).So i dont really know much about the whole SS spec

Apparently in patch 2.4 there will be a new, identical in stats set available from reputation in Outland:

Assuming you have the reputation (and probably gold) this new Seer's set will probably be fast and easy to obtain; quickly making you more PvP viable and allowing you to gain honor/do arenas more.

And yes my friend its is good for u.its a pvp set and the stats on it is that can help u go on top of the list at pvp bggo for it and try get and the pvp weapon. shaman with that set and the DW axe on his hands is unstapable, and get the lvl60 warlord boots it helps alot :)

i'm not sure i agree with your math. i dont believe the crit is split between both hand WF swings. Crit is crit per swing, though the offhand ges a -50% damage modifier. the only reason i have see 2H work in pvp is that the damage is spikey, thus making it hard to heal. i do far more damage with 2 grunt axes with fiery and WF5 mainhand/WF4 off-hand. once that first white damage crit goes off, its nothing but chainsaw action from there with unleashed rage, and the WF's start coming out like mad. now that doesnt mean that having fast weapons is good, because WF's of the same level cannot proc within 3 sec's of each other. so a fast weapon will have some WF's triggers that don't go off because of the cooldown, BUT it will keep you in Flurry and unleashed rage. i'm still trying to decide whether to go with the HWL cleaver (2.6) or the hacker(1.6).....its a hard choice

the 2 hits are counted apart from each other with crit 1 might crit while the other doesn't

+ i keep beating up at those dual wield blokes who just cant seem to launch the same high crits as me.

btw if you go dualwield do urself a favor and pick the cleavers:P slow is better really

Well i think that if a shaman is duel wielding then a good strategy to go for is having wind fury on you main hand and rock biter on you offhand because with mm main hand i do more damage with normal hits then i do with my offhand wind fury so i put on rock biter for a constant raise in dps.

Sometimes it's also fun in PvP to have Frostbrand in the off-hand. It doesn't always work, but it lets you get a Tremor Totem out instead of an Earthbind if the need arises.

That, and the cooldown for WF got switched to stacking from individual using different ranks, so you can't have two WF's and get anything out of it anymore, anyway.

WF/WF when you get weapons that are 71dps or greater is the best for dps when your attack power is above 700 from my experience, FT/FT is best before that. I tried different combinations in AV and WF/WF I noticed a 20k dmg boost on average over any other combinations using dragonstrike in MH and highwarlord cleaver in OH....WF/WF is best if your gear is Stam/AP...I hear good things from +spell dmg gear and using FT/FT and 1.3 daggers if you spec elemantal and get the elemental fury that gives spells 100% crit bonus FT gets bonus as well....I am Enchancement/Resto and stam/atk power seems to be the best with WF/WF on both weapons for pvp dps.

IMO This set is the set you get before going into arenas to get arena gear. Maybe not this set in particular, but the blue 70 pvp armor.
