This amazing dagger is perfect in the off-hand for end game PvE rogues that spec deep into the combat tree down to Combat Potency. With Slice and Dice up this dagger approaches 1.0Atk speed, and with Blade Flurry the speed will be closer to 0.84Atk speed. That means that roughly every 4 seconds the rogue gets 15 energy restored to him for free. Best off-hand weapon for a raiding rogue hands down.

first had blackout truncheon, then latro's shifting sword, now finally warp-splinter's thorn. This dagger trumps them everything i've come across as a combat dagger offhand. It's strange how much of a difference an extra 0.1 or 0.2 attack speed can make, but i get noticably more combat potency procs with the thorn compared to the other weapons i mentioned. Stats + 15 hit rating make this a keeper for a very long while. I think that with the hit rating, it's even better than the searing sunblade. This is THE combat dagger OH.

Finally got this awesome dagger. Slice 'n Dice makes this exactly 1.00 speed. Add in blade flurry, the abacus of violent odds trinket, and the 2-piece assassination set bonus and it gets to 0.60 speed. Throw in a haste potion and that's just insane. =D. Definately the best off-hand combat dagger until you can get the Searing Sunblade (it's even slightly better than the Feltooth Eviscerator).

Using it on my hunter paired with Stellaris (until I can get another Stellaris), no rogues were present or I'd have passed on it. The weapons actually complement each other well, and the +hit is handy for hunters too. It's a rogue weapon foremost, but it's also really nice for hunters.

I realise hunters had/have a repuation for rolling on any melee weapon, and I'm not advocating they should need this over a rogue. To put things in perspective, I've had a paladin need and win the Sonic Spear over my hunter, and she was already using Crow Wing Reaper (Selendia on Earthen Ring EU, shame on you).

So; primarily a rogue weapon, but hunters, take it without qualm if there isn't one present when this drops.

I've got a 70 warrior that is fury specc'd and I'm try to get two of these. I was introduced to the wonderful world of constant rage with two quick daggers. This dagger is way better than the two I have now. Warmaukl Ceremonial Blood Blade and Dib'maud's Crysknife. Are there any warriors that have gotten these that could comment?

The priority list on this weapon goes as follows, in my opinion:

1. Rogues
2. Fury warriors
3. Hunters

A dagger spec rogue should have this over anyone every time. Other than that, a warrior needs to build rage right? So, if you're rogueless, and have a fury warrior dpsing, congrats. If you have no rogue dps, and a paladin/druid tanking or something, then a hunter could get this. It benefits each class in stats equally, again in my opinion, but the utility for warriors/rogues definately takes seniority over a hunter, who is only really after stats in a weapon.

Excellent weapon for a DPS Warrior to try to get, mainly due to its fast speed your able to swap this in, once boss mobs get to 20% or less, generating a lot of fast rage, to dump into execute spam. Very hard to find a 1.3 or faster weapon with good dps that can compare to this.

This is pretty much the best PVE offhand you can get outside of Karazhan due to the speed and the stats, the +Hit rating is big, Retainer's Blade is not better then this, if anyone wanted to know.

Been running Botanica forever to try and get this thing only to see it drop and lose it to prot spec warrior who mostly uses a shield in his off-hand. A bloody disgrace i can tell you.

This is the best non-epic offhand for combat dagger rogues. With combat potency, BF, S&D; this thing is wicked. Not to mention the plus hit is great for raiding.

ok...to even GET 25% crit (as a fury warrior)without a weapon spec is costing you too much +hit and +crit. and the reason i say this is, you cant be in raid gear and want two of these. Better to get a slower mainhand and throw this in the offhand

Blade Flurry (20% speed increase) + Slice and Dice (+30% speed increase) + Assassination Set Bonus for Cheap Shot (+15% speed increase) = 0.455 Attack Speed on this dagger.

I know that by adding them together and multiplying 1.3 by .35 isn't how Blizz does it, but I'm bored and I feel like posting something that will make my brain work.

For those of you that do not know where to get this, it drops in The Botanica off of Warp Splinter (the last boss). Only has a 10.37% drop rate (according to atlas) so best of luck to those searching for this beauty :)

and now first time Warp Splinter I got the dagger ^^ all within 2 days -.-
but no other rogue gear so far since im 70 ...

had this in the bank for a while now, whenever i look at it i'm debating whether to swap it with my current OH retainer's blade. could someone who knows what they're talking about advise me please?

i would lose 6 stam, 7 agi and 10 dps (if that matters) but gain +15 hit and 0.20 speed. is it worth it? i'm specced in combat potency.
